I have this server for transfer (CA account)

KS-LE-1 GRA (upgraded ram and new disks from 2x480 GB to 2x960) - Renewal: $11.05/month

    CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1245 V2 @ 3.40GHz
    RAM: 31Gi
    RAM Type: None
    Disks:
    sda disk 894.3G INTEL SSDSC2KB960G8
    sdb disk 894.3G INTEL SSDSC2KB960G8
    Disk Power-On Hours:
    sda: 10778 hours
    sdb: 10778 hours

, he's asking 40$, for 23$ server. Such a greedy scalper , we should nvr buy from such scalper

You could've asked for the price here if you already have one and wanted the drama! Banks and PayPal fees are around 25% of this price in my country and I could've easily asked for a refund from OVH. I was actually going to post it in a separate service transfer post.

Not a drama. I want to expose a greedy scalper, and even if u asked for a refund which possibly refuse bcz u are on ca account and even if they refund you it will be on prorate base , u won't be getting 23$ at any cost. , and here u asking 40$, good keep it up , greedy scalper

OVH refunds the whole paid amount including the setup fees even in CA $ account.

  • Recently got this info when we debuged my script in DM. OVH maximized 2 KS-A servers per cart. This is 10 usualy on ECO servers so a maximum of 10 placed by normal and LE servers but seems to be that to order 4 KS-As need to place two orders.

No. Ovh deducts the days you used the server , it seems u nvr asked for a refund ,

Did they change the refund rules? I have never used refunds.
I always buy when I need it.

  • Hi all,

Just received my KS LE 2 with 8TB paid, but fdisk -l tells me it is:

Sda, sdb, sdc, sdd: 1.9TB each, total shown is 8TB ¿?

Does it mean that as Soft Raid i got actually 16 TB? Or Fdisk shows real size no matter raid?

Each disk is 2TB so in a RAID 0 you would get 4x2 = 8 TB.

You can use the command below to check if you have RAID

    cat /proc/mdstat

Looks like you have RAID0, so 8T.

  • Hm, a rise-le server with a 1.7PB written NVMe. Come on, ovh, you can do that on a KS but not on a rise server.... it looks like they are short on disks already.

PM983 has a lifespan of "1.3 DWPD for 3 years" (2700 TBW for 1.92TB capacity), 1.7PB is slightly more than half of it

    You have 4 disks.
    Each disk is 2TB.
You put them in a RAID1, so they are all mirrored.
    You should get 2TB then.

Check the available space with df.

This is a PM1733 1.92TB, has 5yrs of 1 DWPD, so ~3.5PB but still. It's about 50% of that and 21% used. Not convincing for a rise server.
