OVH US doesn't have webhosting and domain, crap.
Wish I had known that a while ago. Does this apply to UK accounts do you know? and how long is the window for this?
edit: 14 days from order time, thanks
Does anyone know if you can exit the "commitment" of a server early? I'm 9 months into a discounted KS-17 from March with a 12 month commitment, but want to terminate it early. Can I do it without any fees etc?
You have to pay penalties based on remaining months or otherwise purchase new commitments with bigger value (subject to approval from their account team).
In short, better use it for 3 more months
I can do that with an existing server no problem
I have a KS-LE-E SSD and HDD standard version from a European server room.
I want a KS-LE-E from a Canadian server room or an upgraded KS-LE-B from any server room.
Can anyone help me?
What do you need help with?
understanding, that there is no one giving up their lottery for regular stuff in exchange, even if his request is posted here for the twentieth time...
As stated above, please PM if you can help me!
Inside is my mistake, standard KS-LE-E or standard KS-LE-B, or an upgraded version I'm willing to +pay.
Has anyone with a KS/SYS at LON location ever got a bandiwdth upgrade? tempted by SYS-LE-2 if i can get lucky with an upgrade over my SYS-1 (300 up
I’ve seen multiple SYS with 1g up in LON it’s a lottery though
I want to tap into the wisdom and experience of the crowd: My 2x480 SSDs have these wear values:
SDA Drive
Host Writes approximately 947.3 TB written
Host Reads approximately 329.5 TB read
Power On Hours (ID 9): 39,883 hours
SDB Drive
Written Data: approximately 206.5 TB written
Read Data: approximately 147.4 TB read
Power On Hours (ID 9): 40,554 hours
What is the expected lifespan of the INTEL SSDSC2BB480G6 drives?
Should I reasonably expect (one of) them to fail within the next year?
Intel DC S3510 480GB: 275 TBW
https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/product-specifications/ssd-dc-s3510-spec.pdf
SDA is much beyond its lifespan, and SDB is close to it
Thank you. What can i do? Should I request replacements for them or have to wait to fail before i can do so?
Depends how lucky or unlucky you consider yourself...
Meaning?
is it within my rights as a customer to request replacements? Will they do it? And if they do, will they also clone my data to the new ones?
They will replace it but you could end up with worse drives from personal experience
https://help.ovhcloud.com/csm/asia-dedicated-servers-disk-replacement?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0043403
Yes, you can request a replacement; No, you need to manage the data by yourself
I made the move to a RISE-LE box out of FOMO so...
MY KS-LE-B is joining the army of idlers
Then i just re-request until i get drives that are not beyond their lifespans?
Do they replace them with existing used/worn drives? Will my worn drives end up in another machine?
Are you looking to find a good home for your idling KS-LE-B?
Which one?
Or you request replacements once your hardware is failing.

given that I back-up to another server, thoughts on -un-mirroring 2x480GB drives so that I have 960GB total? 480GB is enough but psychologically it feels a bit cramped for my purposes and I didnt get lucky on lottery.
