Mine is even worse in KB/s. But if connected via a VPS, the speed is great. Hope they can fix it soon. Guess it's because of the aggressive firewall and rate limit.
Do the DA boxes support rsync?
Averaging 8-10MB/s
Is it possible to pay with crypto without having a coinbase account or one of their approved wallets?
I guess everyone are pushing files to it.
It was so fast in the beginning...now 1-2Mb/s
I guess we probably wait a few days/weeks to have "real world" speeds for these boxes. I am a bit concerened about the 1GBit's connection for the host split between all users. That might be a bottleneck if there are plenty users using it for backups
Upload speed to the boxes is now around 0.5-1 Mbps. Probably will improve over a few days.
i will say this one last time
Paid with Polygon here. Can also pay with Ethereum but the gas fees won't make it worth it. Didn't need to create a coinbase account or sign in.
Let the bandwidth hunger games begin
We're talking about upload.
what about teh upload?
Thanks but how did you do it? Coinbase commerce doesn't allow me to pick anything else.
At checkout, under "Select Payment method", choose "Metamask" if you have it installed.
Or can click "Connect another wallet". Here you have more options like Phantom. Phantom supports both ETH and Polygon. Paying with ETH and Polygon doesn't require to create a coinbase account or sign in.
If you don't already have Polygon, can swap it on other sites (like https://trocador.app/) first.
I connected my storage to owncloud via sshfs so that files are encrypted before stored on HostBrr. However the upload speed is so slow that it's barely usable for me. We'll see.
Disks are struggling due to clients repeatedly YABSing a shared box, while other clients are pushing lots of data into it. I'll keep an eye on this.
Temporarily ban the yabs IP address and tell everybody to avoid further benchmarks for the first few days. Tell them they can refund after waiting 1 month if the performance still doesn't meet expectations.
They will understand since it's a node shared with over a hundred people
Can just temporarily disable interactive SSH login. So users can still use SFTP to upload files but not start a shell and run yabs.
i have ordered the 500GB storage box, but after the payment, the service status is pending, what should i do? invoice#39009
wait!
EPYC Storage - 8TB - Germany
What is the real bandwidth for this package?
I am seeing a significant difference in the bandwidth offer between the thread and the order page.

how about to read some comments, then post something?
Does both upload & download count toward the traffic limit? (DA StorageBox)
And is the BFBOX discount recurring? What happens at the end of the 1 year?
For the "10 Gbps EPYC Storage VPS" you offer, what OS are these running? It's not very clear. Also, can custom ISO be loaded on the OS drive part of these VPS?
I'm also wondering the same
