Do the servers listed on you page already show the rebated price or what am I supposed to do? Maybe I'm missing this information. @Clouvider

Use the coupon code that you got in the email.

    Thank you. That was easy.

Clovider using Hostbill... And doing so without proper testing and adjustment.

Placed an order, got 7 (!) emails, which 3 of them was about invoice. 2 emails about invoice created (duplicates) and 1 about invoice being cancelled (but in fact marked as "Paid"). Such a messy operation.

Also, they castrate payment methods. On signup you see more payment methods than it actually offers when proforma invoice generated. A headache. I hope they will sort this mess before the great BF event. Because the crowd will not be pleased with delays and oopsies.

Well, vider is considered to be more on a premium side. So, it is safe for prod (?). I hope so!

We run both Hostbill and WHMCS, each has its own prefixes.

You’re most welcome to not sign up if you are unhappy from before even going ahead.

Regarding bandwidth - at the moment, it’s only possible to either upgrade the package or add a rather expensive bandwidth package - thats a manual process.

We are working with the vendor to be able to offer bandwidth upgrades automatically using our portal. These will be competitively priced. There’s no ETA for this at the moment.

Sad to see them go. I'm not an active client anymore but their brand does bring back some memory. Never let me down. Luckily they're in good hands. Good luck!

  • @Clouvider any Atlanta/Ashburn location for VPS? Thanks!

That is very sad news. What the heck is happening, I leave for 48 hours and I have been flagged all over the place. I can't keep up

  • I'm genuinely sad to read this message. After the acquisition by Clouvider, I feared this day would come, and sadly, today is that day.
Like many, InceptionHosting was one of my first providers when I started venturing down the LowEndRabbitHole. In fact, I had almost zero experience with Unix, let alone running something headless. Tinkering around with VPSes has been instrumental to my career. The skills I learned years ago still apply today, and InceptionHosting played a role in that by providing an affordable platform to experiment. If I broke something, I could easily reinstall it and start from scratch. I remember (trying to) set up a Mumble server right around when TeamSpeak changed their license structure. Yes, kids, before Discord, we ran our own stuff.

I never had any issues with Anthony's service or servers. They've been rock solid from the start, which might be the reason I still own a couple of them. Class act for giving us ample time to migrate and, even more so, for providing refunds and free-of-charge service until then.

@InceptionHosting Ant, I'm not sure if you're still around, but thanks again for being such a great host over the past 13 years. I wish you all the best with your future endeavors.

    Until we meet again. Cheers!

@InceptionHosting was a gem in the low end market. DA licenses as well. Very sad day. Thank you for all you did @InceptionHosting

I’am providing free feedback and testing of your system. This is not “unhappy”. Just comments on public forum. Personally I seek high uptime and acceptable prices.

Oh, my... This will be a busy weekend with both of my Inception VPSes in production (something I can’t say for most of my VPSes) and with their expiration dates coming up soon.

Services are staying up free of charge until 15th January 2025 so no rush with it 😉.

Not even a customer but this is really nice of you, props.

I don't like the guy behind @InceptionHosting but I do very much like my small VM with them. One of the best deals I made got/made on LET and the service always was reliable and absolutely trouble-free.

But then I think we can expect no less from @Clouvider and his fat rebate makes it easier. I'll certainly have a good look at his VPS offers.

But still, sad to see InceptionHosting leaving the arena.

  • No special deals for existing Inception customers? :(

If you are an existing Inception Customer you received 50% off recurring on Clouvider VPS.

He may mean an existing Inception customer without an active service, in which case no special deal -- understandably :)

A sad day I will miss my Inception VM it's one of my more reliable VM, I will have to consider to get a Clouvider VM or just to move stuff to one of my other servers, bit of pain will lose the free DA licence since they can't be issued nowadays.

No ETA - as in - in an year?
Or No ETA - as in - hopefully this year?

I know what ETA stands for, but would be nice to get a rough estimate :-)

And as a completely side question - I had a bunch of amazing clouvider stickers from a few years ago, and I had to retire my trusty t14 laptop, which had all of them stickers.

You planning on getting some more sticker love this year? I really really REALLY liked them stickers :-)

  • Thanks, and all the best @AnthonySmith :)

  • I'm so sad about this :( I like Inception Hosting. It was rock solid, reliable and affordable. And this is why I worry, when a company acquire another one... I have only one VM what is affected in this situation. But I wanted to keep it..

    @Clouvider
There is any way, chance for custom solution(s), for example via ticket? or can choose only from the available offers, packages? Thx for the answer.

  • @InceptionHosting was my first LET provider. I got $15/year plan in 2021.

He helped me to install Windows Server OS by setting up iso, though officially in the vps plan, it was not even supported.

    Always A+ in support.

@InceptionHosting …. you will be greatly missed.

Wishing you the very best for the future endeavors!!

  • @Clouvider Didn't you have an LA location available (I think I saw it on YABS)? I can't seem to find it on your location selector.

Give LA a few days please, there’s additional hardware we are turning up in this location in the coming days. We put it out of stock for now to maintain quality.

We don’t do custom solutions on the VOS platform I’m afraid. We are trying to standardise it as much as we can to minimise the costs for everyone.

It’s hard to say. The platform runs on a 3rd party system and we are limited in what we can achieve by the API available, it’s definitely coming one way or the other but it’s hard to say roughly when.

I’ll incept an idea into the minds of our colleagues dealing with marketing 😉.

DM me your address, I should have some stickers in the office I can share from my stash 😉
