Inception Hosting is ceasing operations as of 15th January 2025

We're writing to inform you that Inception Hosting services will cease on 15th January 2025. We want to thank you sincerely for being a valued Customer. After many years, this decision was not taken lightly.

Since Clouvider Limited acquired Inception Hosting Limited in 2021, the two brands have offered similar services; however, the Inception Hosting platform has both aged software and hardware, which would have been facing upgrades or replacement in 2025. With this in mind, we have made the decision that consolidating our offerings under Clouvider to provide you with an enhanced service is the best way forward.

What This Means for You:

Service Termination Date: All Inception Hosting services will end on 15th January 2025.

Refunds: Pro-rata refunds will be issued for any pre-paid services beyond the termination date.

Migration to Clouvider: Customers will need to self-migrate. To ease the transition, Clouvider is offering a 50% recurring discount on any VPS plan. Details are available here: https://www.clouvider.com/vps/.

Please note: We are unable to assist with migration efforts, and Customers are responsible for independently transferring their data and configurations.

It's a one time use code that's per service that you have at inceptionhosting.

Two differences between Inceptionhosting and Clouvider come to mind:
Inceptionhosting has lots of traffic and none port block for email, but Clouvider less traffic and has very strict to smtp.

InceptionHosting was one of the first VPS hosting services I used, sad to see it going.
Seems I've to plan some migrations.

Codes expire: 15/01/2025 - after that date no discounted purchases will be possible.

Services are staying up free of charge until 15th January 2025 so no rush with it 😉.

From the announcement email:

Free Service Continuation: Services will remain active and free of charge from now until 15th January 2025 to provide ample time for migration.

So there's a fair bit of time for you to make any decisions, and at no cost to you. I'm going to hold off through Black Friday to see what's available, but i strongly suspect i'll take up Clouvider's 50% off recuring offer.
