UK: 200GB storage VPS

Hi all,

I got an email from Inception hosting to say they are closing their services and so tough. :/

I'm currently paying $27py for a 200GB storage VM. I'm pretty sure that's unbeatable these days but I need to get my data off and on to a new server.

Server must be in the UK. It will be used only for storage of backups and a backup DNS server. 1 cpu and 1gb is plenty.

    Check this thread.

Or wait till the BF - your VM will be up till Jan 15th 2025.
Can't tell for sure about UK, but some storage VPS with a similar price is likely to come up.

  • With 1 GB memory:

    AlphaVPS — €30 / year (€2.50 / month)
    1 Intel Cores (shared)
    1024 MB RAM
    512 GB HDD
    1536 GB/month bandwidth
    1.0 Gbps port speed
    IPv4 + IPv6
    Hosted in United Kingdom

Or €20 / year for 750 MB of memory. All combos here, affiliated.

  • ClouviderClouvider Patron Provider, Veteran

@AlexBarakov can maybe get you sorted with this one :)?

  • @Clouvider it's because of Clouvider that this is happening, it seems, since they purchased Inception Hosting. They won't honor the pricing or update the hardware.

Sounds like a good deal. A little worried about the shared core but I'll maybe give it a go. Thanks.

  • @davide Thanks again for your suggestion of AlphaVPS. I've been very happy with their offering so far.

for such budget you don't get a deicated and normally the VMs do share the CPU cores, better to have more just one.
