Contabo is strange by design
Something about your account is making Contabo uncomfortable, otherwise who would not want a regularly paying customer?
That email could have been drafted better.
You didn't understand, they don't want to sell / rent a new VPS. They just want me to have one VPS with them, the way you wrote it has nothing to do with this case.
I think the reason is bizarre. I have a worse VPS that I paid twice as much as what they offer now. That's the only reason.
LOL, this just happened to me too: got email from Contabo with "oktoberfest offers". Tried to order one more VPS, and was bounced with the same message (have only 1 vps from them, mostly idling private nextcloud server, paying yearly in advance).
So basically they offer something, but do not allow to accept it. Strange marketing, really. Never mind, ordered VPS from Webtropia instead...
They do it because they are "afraid" if you buy a VPS, you will buy a better VPS in their offer for less money than the one you currently have. That's the whole point. Their offers are only valid for new users.
