    EPYC- 24GB

    if this plan can run windows is good

    Any KVM based VPS can run Windows Server OS. The only thing to check if provider terms permit installing Windows Server OS.

    Linux based OS
    2x vCore / 2 GB

    Windows 11 Enterprise OS
    3x vCore / 4.5 GB

    I don't get it why a provider can or should permit installing windows os

    Because it is Windows Server OS

    I am a newbie, I just wanna use the GUI OS like remote PC,

    so could you please tell me how to run Linux as you picture with GUI?

    I have installed MX Linux XFCE from its iso
    https://mxlinux.org/
    iso link:
    https://sourceforge.net/projects/mx-linux/files/Final/Xfce/MX-23.3_ahs_x64.iso/download

    and the plan can install Windows OS by myself?

    If control panel has Windows templates, it can be installed by using the template.

    If you have not much experience with installing OS, then you may go for windows rdp service. It may be more expensive, but you don't have to deal with installing the operating system.

    Check with @balramm DigiRDP

    To connect to the dektop via RDP you can do on Debian something like:

    apt-get update -y && apt-get upgrade -y

    apt install xfce4 xfce4-goodies xorg dbus-x11 x11-xserver-utils -y

    apt install xrdp -y

    adduser xrdp ssl-cert

    systemctl restart xrdp

    Never heard of it. Might test it later. I currently have xrdp that can only be accessed via an ssh tunnel.

    You are using your VPS productive? For idling the amount of cores is not relevant

    I use it for video encoding. ffmpeg doesn't need much RAM but cores are very important. More the cores, more parallel workers I can assign. RAM is of not much use here.

  • This is to show that Windows Server OS is pretty resource optimized.

    Can confirm, no better than xrdp. Had two servers same spec side by side and looked the same playing a video.

    setup also sucks more and some features like auto scaling didn't work..

    @ehab @maverick
    Glad to see you still remember us <3

    Yes, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes. Just recently, we deployed our new AMD EPYC Milan hosts. Also, all nodes now come with DDoS protection by default.

    New deals will most likely only be posted once the new Cloud Platform is finally live and fully in production.

    I keep spending too much time on perfecting the little details. But then again, we’re not really in a rush, so I want to provide an absolutely polished user experience.

    But if you’re in need of some specific deals or configurations right now, let me know and I’m sure we can make it work :)
