Because it is Windows Server OS
I have installed MX Linux XFCE from its iso

If control panel has Windows templates, it can be installed by using the template.
If you have not much experience with installing OS, then you may go for windows rdp service. It may be more expensive, but you don't have to deal with installing the operating system.
Check with @balramm DigiRDP
To connect to the dektop via RDP you can do on Debian something like:
Compile it yourself or download from github. The pre-built ones in current repos suck and are very outdated. (The default ones)

Using NoMachines is much better than s.l.o.w xrdp
Never heard of it. Might test it later. I currently have xrdp that can only be accessed via an ssh tunnel.
I use it for video encoding. ffmpeg doesn't need much RAM but cores are very important. More the cores, more parallel workers I can assign. RAM is of not much use here.
This is to show that Windows Server OS is pretty resource optimized.
1.6GB RAM is a lot to some.
Can confirm, no better than xrdp. Had two servers same spec side by side and looked the same playing a video.
setup also sucks more and some features like auto scaling didn't work..
Running for 120+ days ....
will you share your resource-saving optimizations with us?
Check and set to Manual any not needed services
Here is a powershell script to set services to manual
Who's your current host? That's an insane deal
What's the bandwidth on these?
P.S. annual code doesn't work - it takes off 2.79 TOTAL, not monthly.
@v3ng codes arent working
@Dylhost @gbzret4d
whoops, thank you for notifying me!
Just created a new code for annual payments: EPP3SPNP
nice to see you post.
has been a long time.
long time n o s e x
I 100% agree with @ehab , where r u @v3ng ? We miss you...
This long abscence might mean only one thing, you were so busy preparing some unbelievably good deals for us, don't dissapoint.
@ehab @maverick
Glad to see you still remember us
Yes, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes. Just recently, we deployed our new AMD EPYC Milan hosts. Also, all nodes now come with DDoS protection by default.
New deals will most likely only be posted once the new Cloud Platform is finally live and fully in production.
I keep spending too much time on perfecting the little details. But then again, we’re not really in a rush, so I want to provide an absolutely polished user experience.
But if you’re in need of some specific deals or configurations right now, let me know and I’m sure we can make it work
Beta access when?!
