It's unfair to generalize based on nationality. Like in any industry, there are good and bad companies everywhere. Over the years, even companies from major economies have had issues, yet we don’t label entire countries because of a few bad actors.
Romania is home to many talented IT professionals, and the country benefits from affordable, high-speed internet. These factors have contributed to the rise of more hosting companies here compared to other countries. For instance, IntoVPS (intodns) is well-known internationally. At Virtono.com, we've been in the hosting industry since 2010, operating under this brand since 2014, and have built a solid reputation over the years.
Rather than generalizing, it’s more helpful to look at each company's track record. Forums like LET are great for checking a provider’s history and making informed decisions.
When you look at 5 web hosting companies in Romania and 3 of them are sketchy af - auto-generalization just happens.
I'll say 4 out of 5.
I'm using @virtono @host_c @Hosteroid @dapavn @torchbyte and @Calin
Only 1 of those has given me many issues, and I think it's rather clear who.
I don't even check the country where the host is from in the first place, I couldn't care less. I also went all in with @AlbaHost without even caring about if their company is from Albania or not.
Lost more money to US scams than any other country, and even then, I still trust in US companies.
Exercising AML laws in most countries, banks can confiscate the amount which will later to be transffered to the federal bank if no documents can be shown as the source of money.
You are right. The regulatory framework is intentionally stringent on what banks may seize and keep - otherwise banks would simply start "suspecting" transfers left and right and unjustly enrich themselves by locking up the funds.
whew i thought this thread might have been over, thanks guys.

Maybe it helps you find a good provider
I've heard @Calin is planning to buy ovh and hetzner
It's good to be back. I asked for an extended ban from another mod as I wanted to leave this community for good and hopefully turn your temp ban into a permanent one.
However, I have to admit I kinda missed LET those days and took an eye here and there from time to time and things like what @jar did for MyW made me reconsider my decision to leave the community, as it still looks like there's hope.
Regarding your decision to ban me, I won't argue against it. Totally your right to take whatever action you believe it's fair. Guess it's safer for me to start scamming people for 20k+ USD than express my sadness about the moderation job some choose to do. As it turns out, at least I won't get banned for that.
Welcome back, @Andreix .
I didnt read the last 1000 comments (litterally) but i wonder why calin is still not banned if he havent paid back yet.
Thanks Dawg!
Maybe bribe?!
That would be his brother, @FlorinMarian
Maybe they’ll grow up together and buy Ovh.
$22K = 4 x LIR accounts (4 x /24s) after x years sold for $22K each /24s (total sum of $88K).
Good investment.
Assuming you don't just die while still pending on Waiting List...
from OP, flow of crypto
Nevertheless, customer wouldn't have known about Calin until OP introduced and convinced them. OP is an old member here while this customer most likely isn't even a member. Unless OP had an intention to scam, I don't understand why they wouldn't have trusted Calin.
We unbrothered him sometime ago.

life's hard, if you're a successful businessman, you need to choose btw love or money, @Calin chose money over love.
I read this thread, then left for some shopping, and this is what I find in the store on limited stock offer. What kind of universal conspiracy is this? Are you for real?!
We have no interest in money.
Why hasn't love come to us?
Calin is his new brother
Your potential “love” has interest in money, very much.
... maybe its not your fault and money loves you too much?
