This isn't really a reliable claim in terms of impact on your reputation. People purchase untrustworthy services all the time. I mean, millions of people still watch MrBeast after his exposure? It doesn't matter how many customers you still have, how much you make, etc.

    Regards

Let's not beat around the bush, your whole business appeals toward individuals and "companies" who are borderline untrustworthy or legal grey areas, and grey areas always lean more to black than white. Customers of these nature usually do not like to overnight move their services unless the service is impacted or compromised by the feds. They do not care if you scam unless it's them. I don't get why are you are even attempting to act like you have a good reputation when your whole clientele is more than likely DMCA-ignored content and other legal grey areas made possible by Romanias lenient/non-existent laws. I'm not one to say that piracy is bad, because that's not at all entirely true, but it only attracts the worst type of customers.

I don't want to be rude, but you act like you're professional when it feels like a toddler writes your messages. Can we get some sort of proof that defends your statement such as proof that the bank is holding OP's funds? I would appreciate it.

I'm afraid I cannot believe anything you say without receipts that prove your innocence. As far as I am concerned, you stole $22.5k unless I can get proof otherwise.

@Vexelia Romania is bound by the same EU copyright directives as any other EU country. It’s not lenient/non-existent laws, it’s lenient/non-existent enforecement because Calin isn’t important enough for someone important enough yet.

    Hi,

completely independent of this incident here and if who ever did something right or wrong or what ever:

isnt the provider tag (also) supposed to be a sign of trustworthiness? I mean the provider tag is ( as far as i understood it ) some kind of certification from the forum to show that a specific user runs a legit business and this way can be trusted to actually deliver services for paid money.

We have here now a story where the provider aswell as the customer agreed on the fact that money was paid but no service delivered and so far, no refund occurred.

I assume based on this fact the provider tag was removed ( pure guess / speculation from my side ).

Based on what logic would you say that a member of the forum should receive back the provider tag if the root cause why the member lost the provider tag is still unchanged?

From my point of view, the provider tag shall give the visitors of this forum some kind of trust into the forum and its users including the providers.

Would the forum not hurt its own reputation and goal to filter providers who are obviously unable to comply with the simple rule paid money == received service if it would grant back a provider tag while the root cause of why it was removed is still open / unsolved?

Should the fact that the complainer gave up on the money ( not because he admitted he was wrong, but ( i guess ) simply because he does not see a realistic chance to get back his money ) allow the provider tag to be reinstated?

If someone took away something from you and you know/assume that you wont get it back means that nothing happend? All ok?

Again, thats a general understanding question from my side , since i do not understand your logic in this case.

@layer7 I mean, yes, maybe in this case the tag should be removed.

But a tag is not a proof of trust and it shouldn’t be either.

This place would be so much emptier if that was the case.

    ”thank you for your feedback”

    ”wtf, those ain’t my nameservers”

We’d have none of that if only trusted providers were allowed

People should learn due diligence. If they’re not used to be doing that, getting rekt on a $7 VPS is a very cheap lesson.

    Hi,

if i read on the forum selling rules here:

    https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/153228/rules-for-selling-on-lowendtalk-updated-04th-sep-2018/p1#hrtreq

    its written:

If you are found to be misleading customers or using ethically questionable practices that may result in financial loss to customers, your Patron Provider tag will be changed to a Host Rep tag and you will not be able to post offers.

So, for my poor interpretation skills, trust is a point for the admin's of this forum.

As it seems to me, they dont want providers who are misleading customers or questionable practices that may result in financial loss to customers...

Of course we are no babies here, at least hopefully. So we should learn to use our brain and yes, if its 7 USD that will give us some wisdom, this wisdom was luckily not that cost efficient.

But most of us dont spend our life here in the forum. We dont know what user scams, cheats or is a saint and helper, a good or bad person. So a normal visitor of this forum needs some kind of guidance -- and that must come from forum rules. Thats why they exist. So some playrules that will give everyone of us some trust in using the forum.

Otherwise this forum would be just a potential trashtalk hell and not worth the time of us as it would be basically unmoderated.

And thats ( luckily ) not the case here. Otherwise this forum would most probably not be as successful as it is right now.

@layer7 No, if a user can’t do research of their own and need the forum to guide them without actually reading reviews, then the Low-end isn’t for them.

For those that can’t or won’t do any research, there’s always DigialOcean.

Yes basically. But I still get your point and I agree with you that in this case tag maybe should be revoked.

As noted below, the provider tag removal lasts until this situation is resolved.
The client has declared that this situation is resolved, so that the condition is met.

    Hi,

maybe i missed something in the 2 mio. replies in this thread.

But the client declared that he will accept this as a business loss. Thats not resolved. Thats simply accepting the situation as the client cant do anything about it to really resolve it.

From my point of view resolving would mean that there is a solution for a problem. But thats not the case here ( afaik ). Here the client decided to give up on that money as he anyway wont see it back ( as far as i understood it ).

    Thats a big difference...

But maybe there is some space for interpretation if a situation is to be considered resolved as soon as someone will just give up actively fighting for it as there is from his/her perspective no chance for success...

Resolving situation is to make ok-ok for both parties. In this case OP is ok to loose 20k and calin is ok to take them. Between them this situation is resolved fully as non of the involved parties will escalate it further. Entropy is at the maximum.

For us, watchers, drama trolls etc. this situation is far from over because of the moral and etchical implications of grant cheft. As they say: dogs bark, but caravan still goes…

    Hi,

maybe its just me, but i cant imagine that the OP is in any way "ok" with loosing 20k.... or he is masohist =) In this case i can share my account number to provide additional satisfaction :-)

From my point of view, the OP is just forced to accept the real world situation. Its not "ok" for him, i just cant imagine that... sorry my imagination lacks here of that power. For this 20k are just too much. Maybe bill gates would be "ok" to just loose 20k, but i assume the OP does not play in this regions...

And because its not ok for him ( alias solved ) its simply not solved. -- But thats my pure guess and interpretation.

Maybe the OP is ok loosing 20k... but then i wonder why he opened the whole thread anyway...

Anyway, the forum admins will have to decide if you can call this outcome and result "ok" and "solved" and if the whole story complies with their forum rules ( especially the one i referred to ).. Lets see :-)

I don't think scamming can be considered as a career. Sure, sometimes a forum may look the other way, but that is just because there is a tax (for provider tag) on which the forum admins rely to survive.
