Uptime testing - 6x mini vps with ipv4 indep. location or just any saas with api
I need some small IPv4 VPS's, with independent locations to measure uptime, say 4 in major european cities, and two in other corners of the world, for example usa, asia? What do you recommend, when looking in a very economical way financially? 1vCPU, 1GB ram, BW unlimited fairy use. In total there will be 6. Where can I find the best possible price, at the same time looking at the best possible hosting uptime, I know it's hard to reconcile, but maybe? I would like to reconcile it somehow, but I care about the minimum possible cost. An alternative would be something along the lines of uptimerobot with api, but this is an expensive game, looking at the scale with which I want to use those VPSs. Alternatively, I'd ask, some very budget ready solution that polls from multiple uptime locations that has an api that I'll be able to connect to my main server. Do we have such tools for users here on the LET at cool prices? If nothing is found then I will rely on VPS recommendations. Unfortunately, I failed to exclude ipv4 from the project, which here only drives up the price, but the tool to measure uptime, can not rely solely on ipv6 as confirmed by my tests so far.

These monitoring systems have free tiers.

Otherwise, we offer VDS, while probably overkill for just monitoring checks, you can multipurpose it.
Ionos.com 1x Euro per month
As much as I would like to recommend ionos - they are horrible at uptime. Holy hell those random outages. They are not long but often. Only wirh contabo I have seen such shity network. Be aware.
Yeah I saw the cake guys. Unfortunately, the monitored sites will be something around 150 with an interval of 1 minute. So it certainly doesn't catch on anywhere on the free plan.
Regarding to Ionos, as i see its 2 usd montly for minimum vps plan. Still lookting for something.
Really? I've seen a YABS with ~2 years uptime not that long ago, and I'd think that the uptime would be similar to the Strato VPS' as they belong to the same parent company, and so far my 1€ Strato VPS was rock-solid with 99.9927% uptime.
Says nothing about the network though
Yes, but as IONOS/1&1 is quite big, and is also used by some people I know for mail/websites/DNS, and as Strato also uses IONOS' ASN, I doubt that the network is that unreliable.
And I found the YABS: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3918827/#Comment_3918827
Wow, those are abysmal.

With 0.5 GB RAM quite normal, as much swap is used.
check out hetrixtools, its free

I had the DE location, had one reboot in two year's and about outages can't say exactly but I don't think there were 2 many , maybe I'm lucky and was on a different node ?
I was about to get a bunch of criminally cheap tiny NAT servers to use for my own global uptime monitoring infrastructure, but @MrRadic is working on a new free-forever uptime monitor, so I'm putting that off to see if that will be stable and have the basic features I need soon enough.
We're hoping to be up and running in the next couple of weeks with the updated scalability improvements.
Bump my guys!

@dyren would you like to check ticket? About the case, but shhh
@minence check https://www.alerts.net/ and https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/197612/free-uptime-monitoring/p1 by @MrRadic
They have 1 min intervals for free
what ticket? what do you mean?
@dyren are you not from hetrix staff?
I'm not lmao
