Hetrix do. Good luck to your project.

What about 30 seconds instead 60? There are some free services which offer 30 seconds like uptime-monitor.io

Currently no plans to go below 1 minute.

    Hetrix is max 15 monitors.

I was planning on self-hosting uptime monitoring on my own global cluster of servers soon, but if this uptime monitor will allow me to have up to 100 monitors at 1 minute interval, I'll switch from UptimeRobot to this, and be able to postpone my own self-hosted solution.

Any planned option to add alert endpoints other than email?

Yes! What would you like to see?

    Slack

With some smart Slack integrations etc

As well as a more basic webhook integration

    Adding both to the to-do.

    Thanked by 1emgh

A simple webhook will cover things like Discord (and plenty of other channels...)

10 contacts / 100 monitors is just an initial limit. We'll be raising this over time. We're just trying to keep an eye on how our designed scaling works.

    Which menu/browser/OS?

    Safari, iPhone 15, iOS 17.6.1

To be clear talking about the menu icon when logged in.

On the startpage, it works fine.

    Thanks mate!

Feel free to check out the free package that BetterStack offers and its Slack integration. It’s probably the best Slack integration of all current uptime momitoring products.

Is there a plan to release it on github eventually, so people can self-host it?

No plans, there are tons of self hosted solutions already available.

I'd like generic webhook support, so that alerts can be sent to ntfy.

General webhook support, not application specific, maybe templates for Slack or so.
But also be able to just add them to your own application.

Yeah, Slack should have a custom one as there’s tons of interesting things that can be done in the future straight from Slack with buttons and even commands for custom input (acknowledge downtime etc)

But I agree, generic ones as well.

  • Which locations/networks are currently being used for the checking?

  • @MrRadic Any plans on 2FA with authenticator apps? I don't trust my own emails :#

  • Why can't I enter: https://hestiacp.com instead it always default to: https://www.hestiacp.com

It's a known bug, will be fixed. You can add www, then edit and remove it.

Buggy, sometimes after I click on Create Monitor it loads for a while and the loading circle disappears and nothing happens.

Cannot monitor any of my email servers port 25 false down alerts.

  • itsTomHarperitsTomHarper Member, Megathread Squad

Clicking on My Settings on the side menu does nothing. (Mobile) not sure on desktop.

Also is there any way to delete my account details?

    Telegram

    I second this

  • First of all, love the domain! Second, I very much appreciate that you're going out of your way to offer this service for free and seem committed to keeping it that way.

    Finally, some thoughts:

    • Dark mode?
    • Application based 2FA
    • Verification email took ~10 minutes to reach Gmail
    • Different types of alert/notifications, something like Apprise?
    • Customizable retries before alerting, like check every 5 minutes, but retry 3 times every minute on a failure before alerting
    • Customizable request and responses for HTTP monitoring (accepted status codes, etc)
  • sick project @MrRadic
a lot of improvement that can be done, but other already mention most of them
it is still a free service and that is already a super huge dixk energy

Yes, on the settings page (try desktop), there's a delete function.

  • Nice.
Some feedback for the landing page: The logo and other images are fairly low res, they noticably look pixelated/compressed on my 4k 27" screen. Definitely makes it look less professional.

Thanks. Consider this really just an initial release. We had the choice of keeping quiet and developing the features we thought were important or release it very bare and allow the community give us priorities/direction.

100 monitors and 10 contacts are an artificial limit we set for now. This will increase over time after we have time to analyze performance and see if our scaling techniques are working as expected.

For our company, integration with Slack + *ops services is a must (read opsgenie, pagerduty, etc.).
