thanks..
but special offers are in not in English
after clicking it goes direct to
https://www.netcup-sonderangebote.de/
Right, in the not-so-distant past, netcup would collect German VAT from private individuals outside of the EU, which many people were understandably not so enthusiastic about
Based on a number of posts in this thread, it sounds like netcup may have changed this policy (so that private individuals outside of the EU no longer need to pay German VAT)
(I can't confirm this directly because I'm in the EU and therefore have to pay VAT)
calm down.. translating is not the same, or at least it comes with extra efforts
Just to add that the sale ends tomorrow (Thursday) at 10 a.m. CET
Traditionally, netcup have aimed their products and services at the German-speaking market in Germany and then later, Austria
Recently, netcup have also expanded to the east coast of the US ( https://www.netcup.com/en )
But when netcup have sales, their sales are generally aimed at the German-speaking market
my RS in netcup has 1.6% steal max and 0.001% avg steal in past 1 month. but it doesnt impact much in performance.
I grabbed an RS1000. Avesome in Vien but most of traffic routed over the NBG DC...
RS4000 yabs, a beast!
this is so unnecessary i had to chime in
simply use
7.56 x 100/(100+VAT)
7.56 x 100/119
= €6.35
I calculate like this.
7.56 - (7.56*0.19) = 6.12
It's always wrong. But no matter, the result looks similar
its just so unnecessary and inelegant lmao.
I also grabbed an RS1000. I guess everyone deserves a second, or third chance. Let's see how it goes. I had forgotten about the awful control panel.
What don't you like about their control panel?
I find that their control panel generally works well (it also allows one to upload an ISO) and is a point in favor of getting a VPS from them
But perhaps I'm missing something. My point of comparison is SolusVM v1 !
I wouldn't touch Solus!!! I find Netcup's CP to be bland and missing modern built in features. I'm comparing it to the likes of Hetzner or even OVH
Do they have test IP (or maybe subnet @adns ) for their Vienna location?
Netcup CP is vintage design
Try this one: 152.53.100.3
what specific features do you actually miss?
Modern looking UI/UX
Could you share the ip or the subnet through dm please so i could check how its routed for me cause i live next to austria and want to try out which location would be better for me.
RGB
RS 1000 G11 O, Viennaaaaaa............
1 more Vienna here
Disk speed a bit slow?
RS 1000 G11 BSS24 Yabs
I used them 2 years ago, I think ?
and they straight up told me I have to pay their VAT unless I was a business with a VAT ID, all individuals pay VAT, I am from Egypt and I was forced to pay their VAT.
I was charged VAT until few months ago.
The GB6 score can vary even though cores are pseudo dedicated.
NetCup 4x vCore dedicated (marketing term)
compare the GB6 score for Racknerd 2x vCPU Ryzen VPS
Anyone else arm machine unavailable in VIE?
In SCP it shows "couldn't receive server status"
Edit:
running again, they sent an email because of an unplanned node restart
Does anyone know why they have a 31 day cancellation notice? I mean why 31 and not 30, why are they adding the 1 day instead of a standardized 30 day month? I think it's funny, but I was wondering if there is some logic to picking 31?
