Is "4 dedicated cores" actually 4 dedicated threads or do I get 4c+4t in total ?

    pseudo dedicated 4 core hyperthreads

May be it's only me but these new terms really confuse me.

it is marketed as VDS with dedicated cores. But in reality it is VPS with unmetered cpu usage, with performance being excellent and overall host node load is monitored to keep under reasonable limits.

Having said that, there are other premium vendors too who actively watch musical chairs scenario and move folks to other rooms, if not enough chairs.

Do you have a source to the proof of your claim? I've never seem any cpu steal on my netcup root servers, even under constant high loads.

Are you sure they remove VAT for non-EU customers from these prices ? While ago when I was using them they were "VAT included" prices which means if you are from non-EU you just end up paying listed price (with German VAT)

Right, in the not-so-distant past, netcup would collect German VAT from private individuals outside of the EU, which many people were understandably not so enthusiastic about

Based on a number of posts in this thread, it sounds like netcup may have changed this policy (so that private individuals outside of the EU no longer need to pay German VAT)

(I can't confirm this directly because I'm in the EU and therefore have to pay VAT)

Was bedeutet das? Deutsch ist die einzige Sprache. Wenn du sie nicht verstehst und nicht übersetzen kannst, nimm eine andere.

calm down.. translating is not the same, or at least it comes with extra efforts

Traditionally, netcup have aimed their products and services at the German-speaking market in Germany and then later, Austria

Recently, netcup have also expanded to the east coast of the US ( https://www.netcup.com/en )

But when netcup have sales, their sales are generally aimed at the German-speaking market

Will the price be lower when paying?
For example, for VPS 1000 G11 SE NUE BSS24 the price is € 7.56, will it be € 6.12 after deducting 19% tax?

Your calculations are incorrect. Without the VAT, it would be €6.35 per month.

—this calculation slide prepared for you

this is so unnecessary i had to chime in

    simply use
    7.56 x 100/(100+VAT)
    7.56 x 100/119
    = €6.35

    Thanked by 1tra10000
  • I calculate like this.

    7.56 - (7.56*0.19) = 6.12

It's always wrong. But no matter, the result looks similar

I also grabbed an RS1000. I guess everyone deserves a second, or third chance. Let's see how it goes. I had forgotten about the awful control panel.

What don't you like about their control panel? :)

I find that their control panel generally works well (it also allows one to upload an ISO) and is a point in favor of getting a VPS from them :)

But perhaps I'm missing something. My point of comparison is SolusVM v1 !

I wouldn't touch Solus!!! I find Netcup's CP to be bland and missing modern built in features. I'm comparing it to the likes of Hetzner or even OVH

Are you sure they remove VAT for non-EU customers from these prices ? While ago when I was using them they were "VAT included" prices which means if you are from non-EU you just end up paying listed price (with German VAT)

    I used them 2 years ago, I think ?
and they straight up told me I have to pay their VAT unless I was a business with a VAT ID, all individuals pay VAT, I am from Egypt and I was forced to pay their VAT.

The GB6 score can vary even though cores are pseudo dedicated.

NetCup 4x vCore dedicated (marketing term)

Anyone else arm machine unavailable in VIE?
In SCP it shows "couldn't receive server status"

    Edit:
running again, they sent an email because of an unplanned node restart

Does anyone know why they have a 31 day cancellation notice? I mean why 31 and not 30, why are they adding the 1 day instead of a standardized 30 day month? I think it's funny, but I was wondering if there is some logic to picking 31?
