Usually, such an outage does not occur and is not common—it is a No-Go for us. We tested several servers afterwards, and there were no errors, so the issue only appeared this morning. Normally, we rarely perform maintenance, but we need to add more RAM and storage to the host system to ensure that every customer is satisfied and there is enough headroom for peak times. It seems that this caused a network issue after booting up again, which led to the need for restarting some servers. We want to apologize to every customer that was on that hostsystem and ask that anyone affected by this issue please reach out to us via ticket in the webinterface. As compensation, we will provide an additional day of free runtime for their server.

Im really suprised with the honesty from these guys.
Even on my annoying questions at the ticket they awnsered everytime honestly without evasive replies.

Anyone face any server issue recently?

My Rootserver Medium server became unreachable at 14 August 19:28 UTC (as per hetrixtools). On checking found that server was reachable through noVNC console.

    • Tried clearing firewall, which didn't solve the issue.
    • Then restarted the server through noVNC console, which didn't solve the issue.
    • Restarting the server using the Product Dashboard #SOLVED# the issue.

    No idea what happened.

My VPS has also been unreachable for 16 hours. :(

Still waiting for support to even acknowledge the problem. :(

@maverick If still unreachable, try reboot manually through Product Dashboard

@FameSystems Glad to get a response from your end. Thank you.
I thought I am on my own since ticket #30392 made on 08.08.2024 is still unanswered.
This time I made the ticket #30790 without much expectation, but got answered and received 1 extra day service, Thank you.

Yeah, it has been fixed in the meantime, thanks.

Lots of things to learn from this, how not to do maintenance without an email announcement upfront, and not to do it without somebody available to monitor the systems many hours later. It's true that this issue could've (and should've) been caught and remedied much, MUCH faster.

But, let's put this nasty event in the "shit happens" drawer and continue on...

As a responsible customer :) I subscribed to that status page, installed qemu-guest-agent as recommended by the support, and will keep monitoring...

I also subscribed to status page as recommended by the support. But didn't receive any recommendation regarding qemu-guest-agent. What did the customer support say about qemu-guest-agent ?

The qemu-guest-agent is only required if you have performed your own custom ISO installation. The qemu-guest-agent is automatically installed via the web interface.

Expectedly, 7743P faster in single-core bench, but slower in multicore.

  • Also, networking, when properly tuned (bbr/fq/bigger network buffers/newer kernel?) shows much better numbers.

Indeed. Great value, barring this uptime blip.
I sincerely hope we get to enjoy them and pet em into production down the line.

Just reboot your VM from the control panel. That sorted it out right away.

    NEW PRICE DROP OFFER!

Since the special offers were so well received yesterday, we have planned a slightly larger event for today.

During this event, we will be offering the same DOUBLE YOUR PACKAGE prices as yesterday.

Please be fair and order only one package per user from the drop so that everyone has the opportunity to get a server.

Specifically, there are a total of 50 servers for the Root Server Medium package and 30 servers for the Business package. After those are sold out, this event is over. Additionally, these prices will remain the same for renewals, ensuring you continue to benefit from these great rates permanently.

    Rootserver Medium DROP

    Dedicated resources (KVM Virtualization)
    6x AMD EPYC 7443P/7763 cores
    24 GB DDR4 ECC RAM
300 GB NVMe RAID 10 storage
    1 IPv4 address
    /64-IPv6 subnet
Fair Use Traffic 2TB @ 2 Gbps shared
    Premium Arbor DDoS Protection
    3 Backup Slots
    Price: €9.00/month (€ 90.00/yr)

hese offers are only available in this drop! Once the servers are sold out, they are gone at these prices.

    Get this DROP-OFFER here

Current state of the promotion - some servers have already been sold, so don't miss out on the offer.

are you guys prepaid hosting or different? i bought the 90EUR package a few days ago but didn’t know you had this offer
