@Andreix said: Should I talk ethics to you when I refused to sue you for data breach and tampering and just closed my eyes and let it go?

You refused what? man, are you HIGH right now?

Whatever your ex-customer decided to do in whatever terms you had with him, not my shit bro, those are he's devices, payed by him and owned by him. Maintenance is not ownership in Romania ( or most of the countries on the planet ). Not happy with the outcome, sue him and move on.

A customer is not entitled to share with a new contractor the details of other arrangements. If they over-lap, it is on him, not on outside contractors, grow up.
I have been in that place not once, but you handled it like shit.

I even outlined that if he has a maintenance contract on other stuff, he should keep it or resign it before putting me to do modifications. ( and I have states this before in our interactions on this forum )

The only game I "play" here is the game of "infinite Game" ( google that )

I should watch your language and allegations towards with me and others, as there are 2 sides to every story.

Why don't you held ZET responsible for calin's operations, as they are actually the ones putting him in the net?( also, FAN Transport Company and the banks he has accounts opened ).

Wait, what the hack am I saying, did @Calin just rise up to the level of Criminal Lords? :D :D What the heck is wrong with you ? :D :D

@Andreix said: Regarding the bold part, they don't help him learn networking, they help him promote criminal activities, which is totally wrong.

Now how do you know what @calin is learning from the help he get's?

@Andreix said: When things started to get out of my moral senses, I made my exit out of (what it was) LayerBridge

Realy, that has nothing to do with the shit you pulled in December 2023? not even a bit, com on man, you pissed off your customer to such extent that I have no words for it ( nor can I give details )

You have no right to associate me, or anyone ease for the fact, with nothing, even if you have proof, you can and should take the issue to the corresponding entities who are entitled to do something and investigate, as rumors are one thing and evidence is another, this is how things work today.

What you are entitled to do is give a negative reviews on anything, that is your right, but painting shit on X Y Z, nahh, you don't own that.

For as much as I respected your work, I really dislike you as a person.

@Kris said: Cute signature. You have 4x /24's and a single homed BGP session to FiberState utah

Yah, and he still painted shit on me for being single-homed, while being in this business for little over 1 year. See the irony?

I'm sorry if you don't know the whole story or if your customer (if still) has not told you the situation as it was. But just FYI, if someone sign a contract with me, giving me "exclusive rights to access and manage" this means that during the contract, not even him has the right to access and/or manage the infra. As I am the only one legally responsible for that piece of infra.

How you accessed it is purely hacking as, for what I can remember, I didn't give you any credential.

I can assure you that I could have sued you for data breach as well as the person who gave you access. But I chosed not to. I was too happy to end that contract to care enough on wasting time to held you accountable for your actions or to demand money from you in court.
Hardware, sure, was owned by the rightful owner, but the software and logistic that ran on those hardware were not, as per the contract. Ask him to show you a copy of our contract if you're curious, I hereby waive my confidentiality clause with them for you.
As a result, I terminated all other services with that "someone" which I guess you took over.

Regarding the bold part, go back and re-read my reply to you as it was in a certain context, where you mocked people who want to learn and experiment with networks and AS numbers saying "they don't need AS numbers if singlehomed". There I outlined that you are also singlehomed and have an AS.

Rest is blah blah, I didn't bothered to read.

So you actually own Proxmox, Cisco NX-OS, Ethernet Layer 2 and 3 Protocols and so on? Respect. :+1:

So that is why you hi-jacked he's DNS servers, redirecting every domain hosted on he's infrastructure to Layer-Bridge webpage stating that the searched resource is suspended ?

    Screenshot-2024-08-01-173241

Now I get it, so all the data of those customers was actually yours as long as you do the maintenance right?

You know what, this was fun, but I have other things to attend to.

No, because our contract doesn't state that we develop proxmox hypervisor. But the know-how, the configurations made, the way all those nodes worked flawlessly were the contract's object.
I doubt you don't know that, or if you really don't know, I am sorry for you.

Regarding the so called DNS hijack, it's a common practice for majority of providers to display a suspended page if their services were not paid when due.

The only one that hijacked services was you and now you come here to keep me morales about ethics. That's sad.

    Take care!

  • This thread took a huge turn, I thought we are going to see some cool networking but it's opposite either way can you post more networking stuff and pictures of the new setup 😁

  • Why nobody consider using Huawei?
PTN-6900-M8 can push a lot of traffic and it has lots of ports or M16 which has even more

one of the biggest operators in RO extensively uses Huawei.

I have to say, I was really impressed on the $/port/performance on those devices.

    EDIT:

Especially Huawei CE6863E-48S6CQ, and for a 3500 USD price point as new, I have to say nice :+1: .

Trusting it is the problem for most I think.

Huawei comes with complimentary Xi chip. This chip deducts social credits for porn traffic. So, it is a no go.

  • I liked seeing iHostArt offers more when it was in basement. It had this authentic smell of low-end. Now with rented space in datacenter, I don't like their offers anymore.

Hello from the LET Mod Team! I read through this thread and don't see it as going anywhere useful. So I am closing it. Best wishes! Tom
