Since HostSlick was also affected by the network outage
fitting today
I'd say it looks more than an incident; yesterday evening unreachable for a short time, then one hour of completely unreachable this night and at this moment again unreachable/very high packet loss. I hope it's all related and solved soon, because it isn't a good start of my VPS...
At first I thought there was a routing issue since there was packet loss at ZET, which rerouting sounded like the solution, however a hour later DDoS attacks began to the whole network (carpet bombing) which affected other providers too as Remy pointed out.
The network issue is being worked on and I apologize for the inconvenience caused. This our our first outage for months.
As said, I consider it as a bad start. What I mean with more than an incident is that it's not just one isolated thing as in rerouting or single attack. We're in the 3rd wave now.
