  • My prepaid for a year service is also down since yesterday, and I can't submit a ticket because the hostthebest.com site is down, too. Not looking good.

    (Either that or there was an accident during the domain registration where autocorrect changed their choice from hostthehorrible to hostthebest without them noticing)

    I can reach their billing portal directly at https://my.hostthebest.com though there are occasional pingouts.
    But this won't do much good anyway since they don't seem eager to respond to the ticket.

    Not going to bore you with the whole story but;
    After 4 months of no delivery for 10x annually paid services, no response on support tickets and no refunds, I can safely say that these are scammers which are deadpooling and should be avoided at all costs.

    @hostthebest hasn't been on since June.

    I have sent them a DM.

    I'm revoking their provider tag temporarily and remove the order links (or the entire advertisement) from the OP, until they return to address their customers and their issues.

    Might be @hostthebanned soon too, if they don't show up.

    I would like to thank those of you who have signed up with us for service and have been supportive and those who tried our services and did not like it. It is through those experiences and feedback and that I put effort in to improve. There have been a few events that have disrupted the quality of service that I am working to resolve. Much of this information has been posted in the client area and emailed out weeks ago.
    The first is that our Utah location was suspended and then terminated due to abuse tickets that came in from one of the customers who was enabled as a reseller with 100 VM's. The customer was with us for a few months with no suspicious behavior. An alternate location was setup with Fiberstate where we have also moved the SolusVM master which was hosted in Utah with additional nodes but upon moving the master there were issues with the vnc port assignment for some VM's which affected automatic provisioning and management for new and existing customers.
    In LA, there have been a few hardware issues that coincided with the outage in Dallas which also had failed switches. Both of these locations were obtained via acquisition of hardware. I am working to restore the services in this location in the next 1-2 days. Many customers who signed up for these promo's have charged back for the entire amount despite having had service since February which I believe is not right. I understand from the customer point of view. This has led to our PayPal account being limited.
    Our NYC location with ReliableSite is online and have not had any issues. There was failed network cable which they resolved after some troubleshooting. The go forward plan, is to resolve these issues as explained above. Any customer who has signed up with us for the promotion will have the remaining time in the subscription honored in full. This will be done with personal funds until our PayPal issue is resolved or an alternative solution is ready. My apologies for not responding with information here.

    Customers were emailed and announcements were posted well within the timeframe you mentioned. People file disputes regardless of the communication that they received directly from us and responses in tickets. The excuse does not need to be made. Yes, there are tickets that were unresolved and I am sorry for that, there was reliance on the announcement and email notices that were sent. That said there are some customers who were not impacted in New York and we will be covering the offers as they are until the service due date in 2025. This is not something that everyone on here with the patron tag would do and I am not doing it to impress you, it is to stand by the offer that was made and provide the service paid for to those who want it and many have inquired since.

    If you had sent an email before I did chargeback, I would'nt do. You have no commucication during most people do chargeback.

    Do you see an email in the email history tab or a notice in the announcement section when you login to the client area. There is a custom module that shows that to everyone when they login.

    How long have you been waiting for a response? Also making more tickets won't make him reply faster.

    This is a lie. I understand being frustrated as I am also frustrated by what has happened but we didn't scam anyone. People had services with us for years and this promo for months. It was never in any situation that someone signed up and had service for a few days or that we took anyones funds. Even with that said, the prior post detailed how we will fix it and credit to anyone impacted through the remainder of the plan. So how can you be scammed if you are not putting anything out?

    I was trying to make clear to those who have or have not done charge backs that we will provide service through the end of their subscription term. Since that affects LA and Utah and not NYC, this is what I was trying to make clear. Perhaps that wasn't clear but happy to clarify to anyone

    From looking at this and the fact that this was a bulk order which was automatically processed based on same date, it's likely that we hit capacity on one of the nodes. This happened a lot with this promo and I offered some customers to split orders between Utah and LA or even offered NYC to some temporarily. Even with that there was capacity limits being hit and as a result the AD was not promoted while all of that was going on. If the OP is willing I can extend the same as has been publicly mentioned.

    @hostthebest if you are not a scammer then where is my yearly vps i know there can be a technical issue but why since May 2024 you still unable to deliver my vps again i asked in my tickets that just give me new vps.

    Beware this guy is a scammer in my opinion his modus operandi is simply rent a 100$ server spend 200$ in marketing promotions and get 1000 $18/year clients make $18000 Dollars and then simply make a server crash and that's it
