what hosting providers are doing wrong?
As Mevspace, we are trying to develop, but the feedback from users of dedicated servers (not only our customers) is crucial to us.
What are the most common issues you face?
Perhaps the market lacks the services/configuration you are looking for?
Do you have problems with customer service solving problems?
What would you like your provider to change/improve?

Comments
If you sell dedicated servers, keep in mind that most can't afford it monetarily. This is Lowendbox where they want to buy something for 2 cents like at a flea market, not at an expensive supermarket.
Imo, people would have more incentive to try out a new provider when:
1. Unique feature I can’t get elsewhere, e.g. DCMA-ignore, CN2, BGP, special location
2. No-brainer price/performance you can’t get elsewhere
3. Rock solid reliability with proof and recognition
At least have a few of these „baits“ to lure in new customers. Once you get yourself a royal customer and he grows in his career path, he will maybe start buying your normal packages as well.
Example: Hetzner has their „auctions“, but still making 99%+ of their money from their high tier products
Charging money. It's a very bad and detestable practice. If you want to massively improve your reputation just stop doing that.
Mevspace very low prices, good guys
thanks for your comment
we charge a small margin for a really high-quality product. In addition, we allow you to test the server before buying, so it is not a blind purchase
I don't doubt that but people really dislike paying money in general. It's actually pretty much win-win as if there are no payments there won't be any disputes either. Looking at it this way it's actually a very cost effective solution.
More than half of the people here are looking for something cheap like $1-2 a month. Or $6-12 yearly Constant requests day in and day out. They hardly need anything more expensive.
I agree with that, but it is simply impossible to provide high-quality product, with 24/7/365 customers service and a lot of other benefits. thanks for. your opinion
Well, personally i mostly miss Hetzner's auction from before the price hikes. Being able to get a solid box around (give or take) 30€ covered most of my (bargain) needs, given Hetzner's reliability is pretty much top notch too. Yeah, cheap VPS aren't bad either but there's pretty much always this or that offer around, so i'm not really all that bothered. In general i agree though, there's a ton of people just looking for (almost) unsustainable bottom of the barrel deals.
A host where you are not able to control your dedicated server yourself for rebooting/boot into rescue mode/attach own ISO file etc.
I do have a dedicated server with a host who doesn’t supply this functionality and it’s annoying for both parties to open a ticket for a simple handling and waiting on each other.
So I invite you to test our services.
Every customer gets access to a panel where they can manage their services, and customer service is available in case of questions.
You can test a dedicated server for 48 hours for €1 and you can see if this solution suits you.
Can I get trial VPS for 3-days?
I will share my feedback.
I'm curious, what does this provider do to better than others to keep you as a customer? I'd look elsewhere if the provider didn't supply this basic functionality, it shows to me that they don't invest in the infrastructure or they resell servers.
we do not have VPS at the moment, but August is quite close
Many people promise, but mostly no one delivers. You have to wait for hours or days for a response from the support team. Or when it's morning in the provider's country and the boss is about to wake up.
If the dedicated servers are not rusty, everything will go fine.
Proper IPv6. IPv6 is nearly free, yet poorly designed systems or shit commercial “strategies” are stopping providers to offer routed /64 subnets.
For our part, we guarantee 24/7 technicial support all days of the year, with assistance from Customer Service 8:00 - 18:00 local Polish time.
Thank you. I might be interested in the AMD Ryzen 5 4650G dedicated server but it's out of stock at the moment. Do you have a IP address to do a ping test, or do you have a looking glass?
edit: the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 in the outlet section will also fit my requirements.
True. It's a combination of the use case, server specs, monthly price, good working network and the monthly price.
Do you have a preview of what the vps pricing and specs will be? Super curious.
the issue that i'm facing is the lack of 7$ dedicated server offers, can you make that possible?
Found the answer myself: TEST IP = 149.86.224.18
And i'm happy with the latency to my place.
please contact us at [email protected] so we can discuss about server you want to test
the VPS are in testing environment now, because it will be much improved than the old ones, so the previews specs will not be accurate . But please contact us at [email protected] so we can share with more details
sorry, the lowest price of dedicated servers is 39,9$
that's what SHE said
that's great, text us so we can offer you the testing period: [email protected]
Done. Thank you.
This kind of got me thinking.
If your business idea is to provide a high-quality product with 24/7 support and whatever benefits, then why are you in a lowend forum? That's not lowend, none of it.
Maybe it's just me, but lowend for me has always been dirt cheap and you get what you pay for. Not saying the products have to be bad, but you cant really expect 24/7 support on a product you pay a few dollars for, that is just not reasonable. When lowend providers start bragging about "AI datacenters" and dedicated 10Gb/s, all for a few dollars a month, it just pisses me of since it's obviously blatant bullshit. (This is not directed at you, I have no idea what you sell or for what prices, I'm just talking in general here).
I kind of miss the true lowend spirit, when you did a lot with very little. Give me a 512mb box on a 100Mb/s connection for a few dollars a month and I'm happy.
