Enhance.com  it has a lot of great features, and best one is you can add as many servers as you like all linked to the main Panel (self-hosted).

    Does enhance support nodejs apps?

Same thing for isolation, limits for each website ... no need for CloudLinux ...

    oh

    @adilolv said:

@ArrowBoi said: oh so basically I won't need to install enhance separately whenever I wish to introduce a new location?

That's right! and backup is included as separated role, so you can have dedicated backup server without need for external software like JetBackup!

so like how does the backup part work? do I need to install it on another server or will the backup work like if I just give it ftp details?

You can have it on same server where your websites are hosted, or its own dedicated server, the most important thing is it needs its own disk, so it can format it.
    https://enhance.com/docs/backup-role/

You can also use S3 as a backup but it doesn't support incremental, yet!

any hosting recommendations that I could use as backups?

  • @ArrowBoi said: any hosting recommendations that I could use as backups?

I am using https://layer7.net @layer7 they are the best for price/performance ratio!
Also using Avoro @dataforest for the websites/DNS part, and Hetzner for the Email part!

So xD like I am using 3 different providers all connected to one panel! and I even have a PC in my house with static IP connected to it LOL!

    Thanked by 2dataforest layer7

wait so like I'm actually quite new to this, why a separate server for email part?

  • wait so like I'm actually quite new to this, why a separate server for email part?

    Because you can ? 😂😂

  • But it just better for availability, so if one server goes offline not all the parts go down as well, like DNS/Website/Database/Email/Backup ...

  • @lukast__ said: Layer7 and dataforest both great choices.

Agree! But you are the one who recommended them to me, xD I saw a comment of yours!

Okay also like does enhance need 2 ips for ns1 and ns2? I initially installed virtualmin and I was able to setup ns1 and ns2 with the same ip but I don't think every panel supports that, so ya any idea if enhance supports same ip?

I have different IPs for NS1 & NS2, but in all scenarios you will have them different, because first server will be for the Panel itself, the second will be to host websites, and in both of them you can setup the DNS role, so then you have 2 IPs for the Nameservers.

Or, your use case is to have them the same, because of something else?

I plan to use a single server for everything and thats why I was curious on whether we could use the same ip

When I was looking up stackcp a few days ago, I found the demo for it.

There is a reseller on LET selling shared hosting on it. Maybe @JustHost wants to fill us in since they are selling hosting with it.

So like are you selling StackCP Shared Hosting? if so where are you getting it from? would like a general idea on what I'd need to do if I wish to offer hosting with it.

20i.com - they recently changed their reseller packages in January this year.

Then HestiaCP would be better, its free and doesn't require much resources.

Cloudflare DNS + Cloudpanel is my recommendation.

Wordpress installer with optimized config (OpCache, Varnish), NodeJS option, no paywalls and easiest to maintain stack (Debian+MySQL+nginx).

If you use Cloudflare CDN then enable in website setting "Allow only connections from Cloudflare" and youre secure from IP leaks/DDoS attacks just like that.

Probably not for selling hosting though.

Sure, but as Adam said, they need to re-work the base/framework of the panel so it can support Python/NodeJS.. in the future, and they are working on it as I can see on the latest updates.

But I agree with you they work slow on pushing new features. Still, they are very small company/team and I understand it takes sometime.

You absolutely can set it up like this, unless you need some kind of automation (I do not know if there is WHMCS etc. plugin)

Cloudpanel is made by managed Magento hosting https://www.mgt-commerce.com/ they give user access and there is account+domain seperation.

Sure, for managed hosting. Here, there’s likely another layer of isolation, such as KVM. (Edit: or full-out dedicated)

This guy don’t want to pay for a license of cPanel or DA, he’s not getting a dedicated server, he’s getting a smaller VM. Virtualizing that to save money dosen’t make sense.

  • @BasToTheMax said:

Why does control panel need to support nodejs. I installed nodejs on root level on my DirectAdmin shared hosting and all users are able to run nodejs from their account to compile app and app itself is pure static hosting app.

    Or I'm missing something here?
