ispmanager has a lot of great featutes, modern interface and low price.
Caddy is the optimal choice if you prefer simplified configuration and easy management.

Virtualmin seems to have a product described as "GPL," which might mean "GNU Public License." https://www.virtualmin.com/shop/ Virtuamin has a Github repository at https://github.com/virtualmin but it's not immediately clear who is on their development team, whether the full project source is there, and exactly which license is used.
It seems like most people in the LE community go for paid, closed source options rather than use Ispconfig. Yet, @daffy describes Ispconfig as "solid," which is a good recommendation. And @daffy uses Virtualmin, which is a great recommendation.
Why don't more LE people use Ispconfig and Virtualmin? What's wrong with Ispconfig? What's wrong with Virtualmin? Why does @daffy prefer Virtualmin over Ispconfig? Thanks!
While I don't remember the reasoning for moving from ISPConfig to Virtualmin way back when, I do check in on ISPConfig from time to time and spin up a test install.
What keeps me from moving now are a few things, mostly the fact that ISPConfig still doesn't have proper support for mail SNI.
Virtualmin covers all of my bases basically. I see some people have an issue with the UI but being used to it, I much prefer it over the likes of cPanel or DA.
It might not be the prettiest, but it works and has a lot of options.
That surplus of options might be confusing and scary for beginners perhaps, but I've come to love it as a very powerful panel.

Thanks. Now I remember the issues I had with it. They have a so-called CDN that always served me from London (I'm in Asia). Their caching system was a pain, no matter how much you try, it wouldn't clear the cache. I had to raise tickets with them to clear the cache. This was 2-3 years ago so I don't know what has changed since then.

There is a lesser known panel called aaPanel
I have tried it. It is good for someone coming from cPanel or DirectAdmin for single person hosting. It is free to use, but it has some really harsh criticism over spying allegations..
I am not technically sound enough to audit their code so I have no idea about those spying allegations..

openpanel looks interesting and has option for both apache and nginx
but seems everything is based off docker, eventhough i use docker extensively...i wonder how it is beneficial when they use docker images for apache, nginx too.
but looking at it worths trying and not having too much ads(towards paid products) like cyberpanel

IMO the design is better than the current CPanel's one (terribly boring faceless flat white).
