    at least you know what to look for in a registrar next time you need a new domain.

    At the very least look at it like this, they wasted your time, tried to extort you and made things very frustrating. But they taught you an invaluable lesson in doing research before buying anything online.

    Personally, I a handful of trusted domain providers. the usual suspects mentioned here.
