  • The VDS would be pretty cool for something like a Minecraft server but the HDD is kind of wack.

  • @seflow
Otherwise, your services are suitable for personal use, not critical services.

I've already done evaluations for production servers.

For web server, mail server, database server, I cannot explode when I need it, I am limited to 1 or 2 cores. Servers are limited to 1 gbit, the other two examples are 10 gbit. I can't use any more disks because that's not an option. Also, there is no information whether your disks are on Raid, distributed storage or local. Or ssd, sata, nvme etc.

These are suitable for personal use, not for critical things.

You still haven't given any information about 1 gbit. I asked this 3 times.

Like any dedicated server. Business plans are crucial for aligning the resources that are projected to be used. In case of growth, it will be possible to request an upgrade. When drafting a business plan for critical services, it is essential to have a clear understanding of the definite resources to be used. Let me ask you a question: what if you think you have 4 Cores and in the business plan you expect to have 50% of each core, but then a VDS on the same server reduces you CPU capacity and your website becomes inaccessible? This could potentially result in lost sales or damage to your reputation.

Most of our VDS are brought from companies and this is the target.

VDS is hosted on a local RAID 10 Hardware Enterprise SSD disks with automatic offsite incremental nightly backup on storage > 150KM away to meet the DR specs of most enterprise

  • @seflow said: what do you mean?

Having a 70gb hard drive instead of just even a basic cheap sata ssd sucks for a lot of things especially personal game/web servers and stuff.

  • Like would rather have limited bandwidth on the VDS and a SSD instead of a hard drive and unmetered bandwidth

I think you may have misunderstood. VDS are hosted on servers with enterprise SSD disks in hardware RAID 10.

Bandwidth port is unmetered and guaranteed

I did misunderstand I thought you mean hard drive disk with 70GB HDD

    Thanked by 1seflow

Forget about my suggestions. Check out CPU stealing and bad neighbors on LET.

    Spend more time here.

My suggestions will seem much more logical later :)

    Good luck in your work.

  • Hey, BGP sessions are allowed? Is there an option you to announce my ASN/IP addresses to your network and upstreams?

Thank you for your interest in our services. At the moment, we do not offer the option for BGP announcement on VDS/VPS and Quickstart services. The BGP option is available on IP Transit and Colocation services with a minimum of 1/2 rack.
