  • There is no advantage to this price

  • HD drive, really, I'm crying to death!

  • I would never trust Aruba. A few years back, they unprofessionally terminated my $1 vps without notice or information.

  • Why you providers never specify RAM type (3/4/5) is a big red flag in a bad way

We use Dell servers and each model has its RAM version. the family name recognizes ram

In every server, you can find the minimum specifications. When we write "800 GB" disks, it's a mix between 800GB and 960GB datacenter disks. The hardware is used. If you need the latest generation hardware, you can consider the A* and V* ranges available at the link https://serverdedicati.aruba.it/offerta-server-dedicati.

If you need latency test 83.136.106.1 . This is in IT2 where QuickStart Servers are. Here you can find the datacenter specs https://www.datacenter.it/en/aruba-data-center/italy-arezzo-dc-it2.aspx

yabsing are basics if you sell vps, vds, dedicated servers.

Thank you for clarifying it for me. I will ask DCRUN for support in the activity and will provide feedback. If you have any technical questions, feel free to ask me, and I will be happy to redirect them to the relevant person in the company.

  • Is 1 gbit unmetered fair use, or is it real on VDS 1?

Other than that, these features are useless. For competition, check out the 9 euro vms Clouvider and Avoro.

    1Gbps in dedicated bandwidth

Can you please let me know which features you think are unnecessary?

I tried to check the providers you mentioned, but I don't see the VDS product, only VPS or dedicated servers. Can you point me in the right direction?

At Avoro, the Rootserver are essentially VDS:

Gebuchte Ressourcen werden garantiert. (Booked resources are guaranteed.)

    And the cores are dedicated.

    (Doesn't mean I agree with @tra10000)

    @lukast__ , Thank you

@tra10000 From what I can see, by "core" they also mean threads. They are different approaches, we use E-2234 processors on the VDS and only physical Cores. This means that on each physical server, we host a maximum of 2 VDS-2 or 4 VDS-1. This way, we allow customers to have guaranteed disk resources and ensure that all cores work with the same performances.

From what I can see, the two services have different markets.

At Avoro that is true. I am curious: do you have Hyper-threading enabled, and the VDS 1 has 2 threads?

@seflow said: From what I can see, the two services have different markets.

I agree, but the (more common) approach to overbook is cheaper, because more customers can be placed on one server, and it usually is not slower, as most VMs are only using a fraction of the allocated cores. (But that is seldom done with 4 core cpus)
But your approach explains the pricing of the VDS, which initially seemed expensive (at least to me).

i think yes. i need to ask to product team and if is confirmed i think this should be reported on the website. I forward this to marketing to take a decision.

I agree with you and this is why we have VPS. We have 4 BIG Families.

First free with instant setup owned by SeFlow brand:

  • @seflow
First, you may want to consider replacing the processor. It does not matter whether it is dedicated or vcore for this processor. I have a server with an E5620 processor that I keep in storage. They also have 4 cores. I'm sure if I virtualize it with 1 dedicated core, no one will buy it.

4 shared Ryzen, Epyc, Gold or 1 non-shared E-2234 cores. Which one do you think is preferred?

For example, E-2276g - 64 gb ecc ram - 2x960gb dc u.2 nvme ssd, 38.70 euro at Hetzner SB

Disk i/o in Vds is not bad. But there is no additional disk option. Maybe you could consider upgrading this.

As I asked before, if the 1gbit here is real. It seems only suitable for broadcast media / shoutcast etc. Other than that, from my perspective, I don't see any corporate usage option.

These are my opinions, there are many people looking for vm on LET.

Thank you for your insights, much appreciated. However, you seem to be comparing two different services targeting different customers. I think that your reasoning is more like a "VPS" than a VDS. If something is shared, it can't be called "Dedicated".

Our VDS (Virtual Dedicated Servers) are services designed for small and medium businesses looking for consistent performance 24/7. Imagine if a VDS on the same physical server is running intensive services or heavy downloads, causing a slowdown in your service. If you host a personal service, it may not have a significant impact on your business, but if you have a critical service, it could create many problems for you or your business.

If you are looking for performance only, I agree with you, but our VDS were not born with this in mind.

    thank you
