You never know when the eggs hatch, so you need to be patient!

  • Any updates on the maintenance? Not seeing anything on the dashboard either.

Cool contest, signed up for three years and looking forward to the PA migration.

  • Will Yearly VPSes still be replenished?

Yes, but they're not going to state exactly when :)

Haha, got it. Still looking for a good deal on a min. 4GB VPS so $22.69/yr or $58.69/3yr is really tempting.

Understandable! I purchased one initially with the intention to move to PA once it becomes available, but then it was restocked for like the third time... and I couldn't resist buying a second one to keep in Spokane...

These are good deals indeed, easy to buy more than one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but my impression is that Crunchbits tends to keep these budget nodes in good shape without being crowded, so you're getting quite a bargain. Tempting....

I believe that is correct. They've stated a couple times in the past, probably in other threads, that they are pretty careful to spread out the services. I personally have a number of services with them, including some budget ones from other sales, and they are still very good. Highly recommend!

Good to hear! Kudos to Crunchbits for keeping the services solid from their prior deals.

Of course getting several in different locations would be even more awesome. So do you just keep checking back here to see when they will be replenished or do you have to check their website?

I've just been popping back in on this thread occasionally. They'll post when they've added more. I end up having a look at the page to see the stock... and then can't resist the urge to buy another :)

I even gave it ~24 hours the last time, hoping the stock would run out quickly enough that it would stop me from buying another, but there were still some left.

lol, I nominate you to get a special prize from Crunchbits. Now be honest, how many have you bought so far??

Hmm, now I also need to keep checking back here since your comments just increased my curiosity and interest. What you describe feels very familiar because I also have purchased 2 offers from a competitors New Year Deal here on LET and I'm very tempted to buy another one but I want to diversify providers a little that's why I've been looking around to see what else is available in the 4GB RAM & 40GB+ storage range...

Did you already start using your servers?

  • How are you guys doing those AI images so clean? Is there a way to do it for free?

A bit of a peek behind the curtains:

What usually happens is we have our standard daily build queue M-F. Includes time set aside for orders from that day/day before as well as replenishing whatever VM stock is needed. If everything goes perfect we can churn out a decent chunk per day and generally pace demand outside of a spike or lag in orders.

Then came Palworld. We just lit the office on fire and have been on near 24-hr rotations to support our downstreams that are having trouble getting capacity elsewhere and this game has been monumental to their success--if we can get stuff out the door and help them (and good for us) then excellent, and I know it's time sensitive. Weekend is coming and customers need their gaming servers up. It has been fun to watch the excitement as they explode in growth, too.

It has resulted in us looking like we're running some kind of drug smuggling operation with random cars going to our overflow storage at 2AM pulling 'weird stuff' out constantly (old 1-off Ryzen X470/X570 chassis and the like). :D

Despite that, still trying to fit other chassis in when/where we can. Just that when we run into a weird issue like the newest blades not having Broadwell v4 CPU BIOS package already on them and requires CPU swap/BIOS flashes/swap back/functions check it just takes a lot longer than expected.

@jlet88 @Xrmaddness (and all before them--I'm still catching up) I really do appreciate the kind words, and feedback/reports of your experiences with us. I know other members of my team read these things on their own LET accounts and despite being kind of sappy: it's honestly very nice to know when your effort is appreciated and what the end-customer experience is like. It's never perfect, but we do find spots where we have messed up in tickets/responses/deployments/etc and they absolutely do get brought to light so we can find solutions.

    That being said:

More Yearly chickens arriving within the hour, I expect more coming late tonight as well. Storage hens are also going through their final testing with us as we've made some overall platform improvements there to increase our reliability and speed.

Looks like you won't have to wait much longer! I think you would be very hard pressed to find an offer that compares to these from such a reliable provider. Apologies in advance for helping burn a hole in your wallet as well :D

I haven't started using the ones I most recently bought, and I may wait to set anything up on the one until it's over in PA.

All the praise is honestly very much deserved:

    • Your services are high quality, reliable, and an excellent value
    • Your support is responsive and helpful
    • You've done and continue to do a lot for this community

I don't mean any of that to sound like fluff either. I'm a very happy customer, and I have no problem telling others as much!
