thank you
Great, come back and share your feedback in a few months
It would be great if Hostbrr sold similar products outside of Hetzner.
True, maybe buy some Skylink servers in the Netherlands
What's wrong with Hetzner?
We read many horror stories. A few mistakes can get you kicked out.
I have been working with Hetzner since 2014. But even I am constantly afraid
Hetzner is great but alternatives are good.
Why would they kick you out ? If you obey the law nothing is gonna happen.
I do not know. They didn't tell anyone who was fired why
I have no problem with the rules. But of course I'm worried.
Hostbrr sells vps to many people who would not be accepted by Hetzner. I think this is a risk and an alternative is necessary.
If you are a long term client then there is no reason to worry. The horror stories are primarily from people who either miss their payments or blatantly ignore there TOS without any intent to correct their usage.
I've made a few mistakes by missing some abuse notices, I haven't been booted. The worst that'll happen is they will block the offending IP until the issue has been remedied, and of course terminate you if you do not act on the issue.
I have of course previously raised this concern with my customer relations contact at Hetzner, as I wouldn't be doing this business if I could risk randomly being kicked out. It's pretty clear to me that there are no issues as long as I do my part.
In any case, the webhosting packages are only only at Hetzner, also have it in USA and Singapore which isn't hosted at them
hei @Francisco also people around who do the latest (security) upgrades for cpanel?
I have a story about how Hetzner wants to cancel 1100 (already 800, I deleted 300 and bought them from another DC) servers from me. Having been their client since 2015 and paying them invoices worth hundreds of thousands of euros and following up on all complaints and other things. I've been visiting different hosters for two months now and buying servers all the time. The same mevspace as a replacement for Ryzen 5. I got canceled literally for no reason at the end of November 2023. The funny thing about this situation is that I was not a small client in this data center. They even told me that the CEO himself canceled me.
You know the reason!
And, I don't like that if Hetzner is really cancelling people for that reason.
No. This is not true, then I will publish all this for people to read and show that you can get a ban for literally nothing I don’t know. My topic was even created on their forum. I was first sent a cancellation letter to one account. I asked them to look into the situation, and in the end, after 10 days, they decided to send me a cancellation on all accounts. At first they told me that the management decided so, then I called and they said that the abuse department decided so, then I wrote to the abuse department and they said the CEOs decided so.
I even created a topic on their forum about why Hetzner cancels for no reason. For 2 months, Hetzner cannot name the reasons why I did not suit them.
I also thought that this was not real. Until I found myself in a situation where you were kicked out for no apparent reason.
No, I didn't mean the abuse thing. I thought maybe due to your nationality, but now I checked you're not from the country being sanctioned left, right, & center.
Might be that most of your clients are from Russia or traffic to the servers is from there. Or, your registered email is from some .ru domain/mail provider.
Only they know the real reason. I hate this cancel culture, especially when people don't even know the reason of being cancelled. I guess it's right for people to be wary of Hetzner cancelling them.
