Where will you get the money? You still haven't paid off your previous debt. Or do you offer him 100 euros per month for the next 10 years?
Instalments is the answer. 50€/month for 30 years or until insolvency.
Getting rid of competition
This thread is somewhere between crazy and sad. As a handful of other people i kind of supported the DIY idea as it's not only a pretty cool thing to do but also gives one at the very least some distinction in this very much oversaturated market. Basically canceling the whole thing at the first couple roadbumps just to move to some absolutely generic approach seems full on pointless though. Not only will it burn the whole investment but also not provide any viable way forward. Like i've said, it's somewhere between crazy and sad...
guys do no exaggerate with HAZI-SOLUTIONS value... the number of 100 or 50€ instalments is easy to count on fingers not in years
Hazi took loan for servers, solar energy and contracts for bandwidth. Afaik 20 or 10 000€. So at least that amount is worth.
market value is determined by how much somebody is willing to pay for it, not by how much somebody clueless burnt money in it, and especially if it is completely not needed for this business (like PV in shithole location or home link not suitable for business purposes)
What about them guard dogs?
starved to death long time ago (old dogs can't live long when eating on weekly basis when their master run away to gf)
Calin will hire him, and he will be making patchcords for him on the night shift, as Calin will soon experience rapid increase in the number of his clients, when he finally aquire the second, missing part of legendary cociu customers database from HAZI-SOLUTIONS
in dark times, cociu split it in half, and sold it to these romanian brothers, one got first half (only first names), and other one got second half (with surenames), and now when Calin will buy it from deadpooled broher, it will be complete, ONE CUSTOMERS DATABASE TO RULE THEM ALL
That would be a good anime plot for anthology series.
So far 4 seasons released. Director Genddy Tartakowsky.
So in fifth season we should be prepared for RO police raid?
At least we should have some resolution from ddos incident and info about installments. That info could be suplied by crunchy maister. Police raids and olx.ro postings will go to season 8 finale.
...to be continued later after short commercial break
and at the end of mentioned season 8 finale, there will be revealed the true brand name rising like Phoenix from the ashes, combining all three players of romanian gang (perfume father and two unholly b***rds):
I Hazi conARTist SOLUTIONS.ro
I'm mostly enjoying my popcorn on my own lurking the threads. It's absolutely insane what happened with this host up to this point.
Asking for advice if it's a good idea to host in his own home, everyone tells him no.
He does it anyway because he knows better than the numerous users with way higher expertise than him. It somehow even works for a handful of months. I came to the conclusion, yes maybe he can pull through against all difficulties.
Then the ddos happened and if his face wasn't already showing from his basement project, now it really showed. A smug individual with no shame sending his customers down the drain because he can't take any advice. An absolute expert in his field because he wrote a 30 pages bachelor thesis.
The 10k or been it 20k€? Are long forgotten, poured down the drain by bad decisions. His parents now life in a home with a sever farm melting their chocolate Santa's while he fucks off with his gf. Basically giving no fuck about his "beloved" project and writing it off.
Now the cherry on top is him begging for OVH deals. I would be so fucking ashamed that I probably request my account to be delete if this ever happened to me.
Anyway because I think it's mean to wish you the least of luck with your journey, I will just wish that you come to the conclusion that you fucked up big time and maybe have the dignity to end this whole mess. There is nothing that could safe your face this time. Thanks for reading, I will continue to lurk now.
PS: No one should do any form of business with this individual.
Capitalism is ruthless😆
definitely not one of the recommended providers on this forum
I also think it's time to close my friend, in either way what you decide if you decide to go trough please start another company with another name because it's not possible to build a brand again if it's to much fucked. I wish you all the best but think good before you make another disicion.
Well, in the end it would be too easy to set up a DDoS GRE tunnel to filter the attacks, it doesn't cost the earth and there are many providers (including us) who do this every day with several hundred GBit/s. Whether it's smart to move to OVH, where in my opinion you can even attack internally, remains to be seen, but simply running a home DC without external protection for volumetric attacks is really a case in itself.
Yup, but unfortunately he was too fond of himself, despite the odds and the warnings he still continues the home DC. Doesn't listen to the "OG's" hope this be a lesson to the man though. Gotta credit for the guts, but a minus for the incompetency
Can someone write him a fat check and close this "side project for good"?
Now I really feel like I'm in a silly movie:
Someone recommended me Andy10Gbit but I will not accept such an option where I put at risk the data of my customers, not having ownership of the service.
I will see what happens with Orange until OVH activates BYOIP.
If Orange throws a contract forcing me to pay for that addon for 24 months, I will not sign it and will take all steps to cancel the contract in court (thanks @Andreix ). At the same time I had contacted the National Cyber Security Directorate and they were shocked that Orange couldn't do anything they proposed. This will be solid evidence in court.
The HAZI.ro story goes on whether you like it or not.
Yes, it goes right to the dumpster. Take a note - you have 0 complaints here about downtime. Your customer simply does not care. This is massive indicator about how your business is doing. All that effort, all stress and trouble for nothing. No one cares.
You do.
I don't share your POV.

And main source of your clientele - this forum, is silent about the problem, which goes multiple days already.
@FlorinMarian you said @Calin wasn’t your competitor as you’r bin a totally different league. Now, he is?
His point was that no angry clients have shown up, I think.
This is because those dissatisfied prefer to discuss through tickets and others understand the nature of the problem and the possible solutions.
People knew what they were buying and this is reflected in their attitude when these kinds of problems hit us.
We could very well have written 'State-of-the-art data center' without including other details and maybe the expectations of the clients were different.
