I get that this type of thread is not for everybody, and if you decide that you would prefer not to see this type of thread on LET, I have some good news for you. A wonderfully helpful member explains on page 456 how to make this thread disappear for you when browsing LET..
On the other hand, if you would like to participate in this thread by having conversation, there are plenty of people willing to engage on almost any subject not forbidden by the rules. We'd love to have you here.
One side note: Some of us also have this thing where one of our goals is to break the record for number of pages in a RackNerd thread. So that is also a factor in the rapidly rising page count.

The prizes are great, from beginning to end. I have one of the RackNerd backpacks and it is fantastic. I'd shoot for one of those if you are in the USA. Otherwise just me asking you a dozen questions about where you live and what it is like there and your responses. Would probably get you a $15 RN credit which you could use to get a VPS for a year. There are many winners in a RackNerd participation thread.
@SillyGoose - Additionally @MrEd, another helpful member, has made this stats page so you can keep track of where you stand in relation to other participants in the pursuit of prizes.
