UK colo recommendations
Hi all,
I had recently looked into colocation in either UK or EU, however I failed to account for the logistical and tax/customs implications of shipping the server for hosting in the EU (thank you, Brexit) so I am now looking solely for hosting within the United Kingdom.
My requirement:
**Space: **
1U
Location:
Within United Kingdom
Power:
75W (this is based on average consumption - server sits at 45-55W usually but can have occasional spikes during heavy workloads - 75W would more than cover this when calculating average usage over month)
Server has single power supply. If possible, provide redundant feed with ATS (but not essential)
Network:
2 ports required (server + IPMI). Server has 2.5Gb capability and would prefer mgig port if possible, although 1Gb is acceptable. IPMI can be 1Gb or 100Mb
2 x IPv4 addresses (as above, for server + IPMI)
Minimum 10TB/month bandwidth
Support:
Some "remote hands" needs to be available, though it could be a chargeable extra and not necessary included in contract.
Data Centre Access:
A "nice to have" to be able to access the DC myself to undertake some tasks if necessary, but not essential.
Many thanks for your time!

Maybe UKServers would fit your needs: https://www.ukservers.com/colocation/server-colocation/
I can't recommend VeloxServ in Wolverhampton enough. They have been fantastic. Ticks all the boxes above. You will need an ATS though as they regularly test the A and B feeds.
I can recommend Equinix, it has a good network

@veloxserv 200% recommended!
Thank you for the recommendations. Client only require an ATS if their kit has a single PSU, and they would like a feed from both. We provide a feed from A+B supplies as standard.
It's extremely rare we have to isolate a supply at any time but would do so with plenty of warning.
ukservers.com - their new datacentre has racks with dual PDUs as standard but one of those PDUs is STS-backed/fed by two distribution boards with diverse feeds so as to provide additional level of redundancy for single-PSU equipment (the datacentre has 3x UPS systems, 3x generators)

24/7 on-site staff with a good sized technical team which means you'll get a good response within hours at most, not days.
In terms of network, 2Tb+ capacity to the internet with direct peering to many major UK/EU networks and on-premise on-demand DDoS mitigation included for any IPs on the network too.
ukservers is the obvious choice here. Massive recommendation.
