Intel N100 - N95 dedicated servers
Hello,
I'm looking for a provider who offers Intel N100 - N95 based dedicated servers.
It's powerful, has an integrated GPU, inexpensive and very efficient in terms of power consumption.
I can't find anything in my search, so I guess this offer doesn't exist, or at least not yet?
I'm mainly looking for a server in Europe.
I'm also interested in a colocation offer for this type of micro server if the price is right.
But in this case I'd prefer a provider who's been in the business for a few years, as it means sending my stuff. (annual payment)

Right now we don't have N100 on offer, plan to atleast test tho Q1-Q2.
It sits right between i5-7500t and i5-8500t which we both offer in terms of CPU performance, but N100 has better encoders; It has AV1 built-in.
Don't need AV1 HW? Then our MD units are what you need, special going on; https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/191513/unleash-power-efficiency-with-pulsed-media-s-md-servers-no-setup-fees-until-2023-ends-special#latest
Interesting,
Colo space is more expensive in 6mo than a board , use case ? Audio/video transcoding like plex ?
Supports 10-bit HEVC & VP9 encoding/decoding, hardware-accelerated AV1 decoding
Yes, I already know your offers and they are very interesting.
But I would prefer an intel N100 with AV1 support.
If I haven't found another option by then, I'll be happy to be the first to test these machines with an annual commitment.
@DataIdeas-Josh - the classic micro colo.
@jfreak53 - the light bulb colo, "we plug in and walk away".
Both are located in USA-Central.

We can offer colocation in our Nuremberg datacenter in Germany depending on how much bandwidth you'd require. We would charge around ~€20/month (+ €30 euro setup fee) as a base cost without bandwidth, as long as you can supply a rack shelf.
Each time you require a KVM it would be a €5 euro fee.
30TB with 1 Gbps port would be around €10 euro per month.
So N100 colocation with 100 Mbps on 1 Gbps would be around €35/month with €30 euro setup fee with us, each KVM request will be billed at €5 euro fee (up to 3 hour session per day).
We can plug in an external HDD if required.
Transcoding Audio / Video
Light virtualization
And I'd also like to test for light ML models. Not sure if it's effective.
Basically, the perfect machine for a small lab, without feeling like it's consuming too much power for this kind of use....
Yes, I've already had offers from c1v
I'm still hesitating to send him my home-made server
Italians are trustworthy
Interesting offer, thanks. I totally understand the costs as it's not industrialized.
But in this case, renting a server with integrated gpu from pulsedmedia would be cheaper. Without having to send my harware.
I'll think about it.
@remy
Sry man, cannot help, no rack mount = they do not even let us plug it in
No IPMI/ILO/IDRAC/whatever lan KVM = I will not plug it in, a ticket to reset that is like at least 20$ if I call support ( they charge 1H even if it is 5 minutes of work - bastards)
But, I like the board, Will thank for the info: THX
We can offer you these in the Netherlands (We can install proxmox on it for you):
Dedi-NL-108 - Now: €19.95/mo or €199.50/yr
ORDER NOW (Just 3 in Stock!)
Dedi-NL-109 - Now: €24.95/mo or €249.50/yr
ORDER NOW (Just 1 in Stock!)
Yes, I understand how difficult it is to implement without industrialization.
I'd live to see a provider go down this road. I'm sure there's a market for this.
I'm not particularly bothered by the cost of KVM access.
However, having a rack mount...
Perhaps you have build a custom 1U with a N100 + a PiKVM inside of it
Interesting!
It's not at the level of the intel N100.
But I didn't know you also offered this kind of consumer CPU.
In which datacenter, if you don't mind my asking?
I can't find the information on your website
Yes, it can be done, with a little effort.
But not very effective in terms of density
But at least it would make it feasible.
I have actually already looked into launching N100 dedicated servers since there's a full motherboard available with these N100 CPU's, but the margins just aren't there (i.e. we would have to sell at a low cost to make it worth it, and they might require a lot of support/maintenance)
https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813162133
We do not get billed for KVM's (though, we still charge an administrative fee), which makes it perfect to maybe launch a product like this with consumer boards, and we could maybe setup PXE booting for rescue system and other functions. However, N100's are just not that economical right now, especially since you can get a 13th gen Intel CPU at Hetzner for around the same cost we would need to sell them for to make a good enough margin.
We can offer it for a cheap solutions. Let me know power usage
And just buying mini-pcs on aliexpress for $150 isn't viable?
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005234838380.html
It's not customizable enough to build a solid solution around it, I can imagine.
After that, it's a different kind of customer, who doesn't expect 99.99% uptime either. But if there are costs involved in doing manual operations all the time, I can understand why nobody would offer this kind of DIY solution....
Unprofitable, unscalable.
First I have to buy the equipment and test it to give accurate measurements.
But I'm guessing around 10w idle, and 20 - 25w full load.
1Gbps - 10 TB / month
How much would it cost? (annual commitment)
1U COLOCATION
18kWh/month usage (GREEN SOURCES ONLY)
25TB/month @ 1Gbps
Remote Hands
€100/year VAT incl.
This plans fits well your power needs even if it's always under heavy load.
That's a tempting offer.
I'll probably give in to temptation.
IPv4 included ? If so, some IPv6 too ?
1 IPv4, /48 IPv6
Thank you.
I'll see what can be done to send the server. Because the configurations on aliexpress don't necessarily suit me in terms of disk space. But I'd like to avoid sending it to Italy myself.
I'll get back to you in DM - or by email.
My experience with Aliexpress machines has been very bad - buggy configurations and builds, constant reboots.
I've read everything and its opposite.
I guess it varies a lot in terms of quality.
I feel I'm taking a risk.
But I'm willing to give it a try
I'd highly recommend doing testing at home before sending the hardware. It could be I am just unlucky.
Indeed, that would be better. This complicates things a bit for my new whim thought
I really want to see a provider industrialize this !
@PulsedMedia seems to be on the right track.
@remy
if you can do semi-yearly or yearly we can get it up and running for you in few days, it will be in the US though not in Europe
