Paid, Invoice #637 double whatever please.
transaction has been provided.
Someone YABS on this spammers service we wanna see that overloaded node performance
Let's to some more maths. If remember correctly there was the number of 800 orders thrown around. Let's assume those are ~$20 plans (8GB doubled to 16GB) on average. That would mean 800 16GB VMs totaling at a whopping 12800GB of ram or assuming 128GB nodes 100 servers without overselling or 50 servers while overselling at factor 2x. Interesting metrics.
Kinda funny to think that there is probably a massively overworked guy sitting in a turkish DC right now racking servers like there is no tomorrow while confused people stand around hin wondering who this strange guy named let is he keeps on cursing.
Running one now. Will update shortly.
The geekbench part will fail
You mean the part where trying to speedtest the network locks the VM for 30min?
Geekbench requires swap.
@repuc Paid, Invoice #638 double ram please.
What's the problem with this? These VMs use full virtualization so there shouldn't be a problem to setup swap. Even if adding a swap partition is not possible there is still the option to simply use a file as swap space. Pretty easy: https://linuxize.com/post/create-a-linux-swap-file/ I'd use
truncateinstead offallocateorddthough, but oh well...@repuc invoice 503, double ram hasnt been applied yet.

https://www.vpsbenchmarks.com/yabs/repuc_com-4c-16gb-5b3e9a gb6 did indeed fail. I will look at what is needed to make it work and try again later.

My words were not enough.
I am using a swapfile.
I have a feeling that both memory and storage are balooned at high k factor
Pretty disappointing performance.
@repuc
It has been less than 12 hours since vps was provisioned.
can i get a refund?
Thanks
Hmm network performance is kinda strange.
it just hung while upgrading to D-12, weird.
Your memory has been doubled halved.
When first setup with Windows server 2012 a speed test.net reported symmetrical gigabit, but as we know that can be taken with a grain of salt. Running gb6 manually now. Will try another yabs after this finishes.
Use network-speed.xyz
Gb6 - https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/3785040
Hi @fresent
any update on this?
Grab one still while you can!

Doesn't seem bad at all. Almost a little to not bad at all but i'll keep my mouth shut.
for a minute, i thought those dedi prices were per year
that would be a straight up bankruptcy i guess.
I'm re-running yabs now. Curious to compare it against my previous result as I'm a little suss that they may have migrated me to a different host after seeing me post about yabs here.. 😂
Rerun.. (gb6 part of yabs still running)
