macOS can be easily virtualized these days. Can be run in kvm, VMware etc. Running macOS bare metal on non apple hardware requires more work.
And also running virtualized iOS looks to extremely difficult. Only corellium does iOS virtualization. Would be great if there are more providers. More better if there is any working open source tools.
Interesting 🤔, i have spare hardware that's compatible with some hackintosh builds i saw, so i was thinking about making one myself. It would be a unique experience doing that and playing with it.

hmm i already own an iOS device so virtualizing that doesn't benefit me at all. But i do agree there should have been something akin to Android studio that supports virtualization OOTB on cross platforms not limited to proprietary hardware.
Present iOS versions are more difficult to jailbreak. Having a virtualized iOS system would be ideal for testing and research purpose. Corellium does all of it but is proprietary.

Hmm will look into corellium as well if it comes hamdy someday, thanks for the help i guess. Btw i still have my jailbreaked iphone 6 despite forgetting the appleid it works without any issues(i guess).
Speaking of macOS virtualization these is https://github.com/kholia/OSX-KVM which virtualizes macOS on KVM.
There is also https://github.com/sickcodes/Docker-OSX which uses a docker container. Underlying it is still using KVM.
Those versions are golden. As iPhone 6 is outside iOS support lifecycle which means the jailbreak there is going to stay for life as long as the phone works. iPhone 6 should support upto iOS 12.

My setup is mostly on an old NAS and an old desktop with ESXi on baremetal running a bunch of VMs, including a Linux box for dockers. I know some people might be irked at the weird double containerization but I like the backup ability this setup provides.
Wanted to play around with TrueNAS Core on another desktop, but I'm intending to setup Proxmox on that instead and migrate my ESXi VMs over to it.
