  • There's only one Shell garage actually shaped like a Shell. There was actually eight built in the 1930s, but only one remains in North Carolina.

  • People used to say "prunes" instead of "cheese" when getting their pictures taken. In the 1840s, a cheesy grin was seen as childish, so a London photographer told people to say "prunes" to keep their mouths tight. Now you know why people never smiled in old photos.

Mounting ISO is the first chapter in the book of setting up a VPS.

It should be if you are doing it from scratch without the help of panels and all.

I don't think most VPS providers would let you mount a custom ISO. Anyways, all the major OS images are already provided in the panel.

I think you can do it easily if you know the know-how ;)

Now, I am genuinely curious. The only way I can think of doing this is, by installing an OS on the VPS, mounting an ISO and then booting off of it. But, I am not sure how the BIOS could even detect an ISO that was mounted in the OS, much before the BIOS. Correct me, if I am wrong.

You are right but it's easier in QEMU/KVM while next to impossible in OVZ.

Yes. And, I don't think most VPSes do provide that option, unless they are those extremely expensive or, maybe dedi.

Most budget Providers do that as well you just need to open a ticket ;)

Yea that's my understanding as well. RackNerd certainly does. Here's their support article on that topic: https://my.racknerd.com/index.php?rp=/knowledgebase/59/Does-RackNerd-VPS-support-Custom-ISO.html

Yup most of them, some of them do that natively while some require additional info in the ticket and all.
