Hi, I am wondering, for the coming 7950X version of VDS, how many CPU threads per dedicated vCore can get?

I am asking this because based on the current VDS package you are selling, in your concepts, "1 dedicated vCore" is equivalent to a single CPU threads only, which is not a real dedicated CPU core for many users. In other words, most of the users consider real dedicated CPU core as a whole physical core, which, in this case, shoud have two complete CPU threads. Because of this, some users consider your "dedicated vCore" advertisement as fraud, for deliberately advertising a CPU thread as a dedicated vCore.

Hence, many users, including me, want to know, what is your CPU setup for the coming 7950X version of VDS? How many threads per dedicated vCore can get?

If you still plan to consider a thread as a dedicated vCore for the coming VDS sales, you should make clear statement of it in the product description, so customers know what they may expect from you.

vCore itself means Virtual Core or Thread, I never said anywhere as CPU Core, it's mentioned as vCore, even the order FORM clearly states it as vCore, hence if anybody considers it as FRAUD they should really read the post carefully and search in google or just ask before ordering if they have double before considering a provider as FRAUD

With 7950X also it will be vCore and not a physical CORE

I just double checked even the Post Title clearly says vCORE

The post also states "vCORE" so what exactly is FRAUD here ?

Maybe many users, including me, understand vCore in an incorrect way 😂

But we do hope that each VDS can be allocated with complete physical core for each virtual core, not just a single thread. So I am wondering, do you plan to announce new VDS series with full physical core allocated for each virtual core? And what would be the pricing if you plan to do so?

Yes we can assign physical core, but then the price becomes double and out of scope of pricing of LET

It just feels like people reading it in the most obtuse way possible. It seemed perfectly clear to me, ordered a 2 vcore system and got exactly what I expected. The pricing alone should tell people that it's not going to be 2 dedicated physical cores for $9/mo, but I guess everyone is really after those completely unsustainable deals.

Looking forward to seeing your 7950x VDS offers, I'd like to see the option for a bit more space or even possibly hybrid storage as well. I don't really need more than 2 vcores, and 8gb is a great fit, but getting something like 200-250gb would be nice, and having some hdd hybrid storage might be nice to compete with crunchbits.

  • When the 7950x nodes up, will it be clearly labeled as 7950x instead of using Ryzen?

Thanks, for now Hybrid is not possible, but we may add hybrid storage in next 1-2 months, I mean it's a good suggestion, will work on it

  • I see that the 7950X in the Salt Lake City node seems to be on sale? Will there be any discounts or double drives available?
