It’s for shared living spaces. Apartments, hotels, duplexes, condos, dorms, etc.
Did it. Bought it. Love it.
oh, that’s really cool then
i got an email a bit ago from support since the renewal didn’t go through (it got instantly refunded). they said they do not support renewals yet on domains considered “premium” in the registry side.
they renewed it for free though, which was nice of them.
They also seem to be offering true privacy email at highly competitive pricing. I'm a little skeptical, I feel like something key has to be missing at that price for an offer from them, but if not then they're about to be the undisputed king of that market.
for some reason, it appears they let you pay monthly for the mail plan which probably barely covers paypal fees
edit: it also appears you can’t use external domains, though i could be wrong
Hmm. Well let's go all in! I'm ordering email, domain reg, and shared hosting right now.
you get a free mailbox from their spacemail service with shared hosting
Don't really need it but what the hell, it's @jar.
I got signed up and everything seemed to go well. Got logged in fine. Haven't tested yet, but it looks like the kinks were worked out.
I moved two domains. Seems there is no way of transferring out, no way to get auth code.
But transfer in was ok, they need to get contact info and also require you to verify the email address but guess that's fine.
I can only assume that's some sort of temporary condition because what the hell lol.
This spacious thing does sound pretty cool though might have to check it out.
Ok the UX on using web hosting, email, and domain registration together on spaceship.com is one of the finest user experiences I have ever seen. The way the pieces flow effortlessly together in such a way that even the most incompetent among us can have all 3 products connected (literally by clicking a button that says "connect") is something everyone should stop and admire.
...Except for the suspicious lack of ability to use LetsEncrypt without generating your own cert and add it. But don't worry, your SSL cert is free for the first year!
If they had more than 4 outbound mail IPs I'd say they're running circles around me.
i also noticed they only have 4 outbound addresses. not sure if that’s a temporary thing or what. the funny thing is, i ordered for a month and it gave me a 1 year SSL cert and a 1 year email subscription as well. lol
Is there a limit on the number of emails sent per day
Each email account has a limit of 300 outbound per hour. You can use different email addresses for different purposes, but you cannot create additional email accounts purely to circumvent the limit for a single use case.
Oh, wow! I actually have been following/using FOSSBilling for my pet project. It's already looking great; glad to see you're supporting it as well.
@jar hey. i have a question.... an old thread but figured this is the best place.
i have a small test project which needs otp verification emails (transactional i guess) only to be sent to users. second idea might be to send emails with a csv. anyway, what does the storage mean ? i can just send an email and delete it and there wont be any inbound emails so can that be done?
An email written to disk uses storage. Sent email is only written to disk if the sending software intentionally does so (Outlook, Thunderbird, all normal email clients do this by default). Scripts which send email from your server are rarely the type to write sent emails to disk.
I just see this (or noticed it) but I'm disappointed that didn't make it $7/yr
Fix it in 7 days or you are going on the list.
You can add me, it doesn't serve any practical use at this precise moment other than increasing my configuration overhead with DA. I probably won't add any v6 back until I announce my own and fully move everything into one network. But having to go into DA and manually add an IPv6 address to each server (and considering it's impact and added time to resolution for custom webmail URLs on migrations) for high fives just isn't worth it.
But, but, but .. the list?
You have been re-added to:
No IPv6 hall of shame
Include IPv6 for no extra cost on every plan in every location to get delisted.
I want refund on the 16 push-ups that I did for you.
Really pleased to see the effort to support FOSSBilling development.
only 1 email

I've just signed up for this,as I need a small inbox and if a moron like me can set it up it must be easy!
My only concern is that I can't find the spam setting in direct admin.
There are Exim Filters, but no spam settings.
This "should" describe how to find it: https://mxroutedocs.com/directadmin/spamfilters/
One other person did open a ticket recently describing exactly the same thing, and then they closed it themselves before we answered. I don't know if they discovered a browser issue or something, but whatever it was it seemed like they figured it out really fast after describing it.
i have tried in two browsers and even my android phone and it definately missing.

Here is my view:
Thanks for that screenshot. You ordered this $5/year plan here right? That confirmation will tell me enough to go digging in the right spot.
