How to remove my friends private images form internet.

Hi

Recently my friends private images were leaked online in multiple websites and few websites were hosted in USA so I sent a DMCA notice and the images were removed. But one website is hosted in Netherlands and I don't know how to remove my friends image hosted in the Netherlands server. If any one can help me in removing it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

  • Is it hosted on some bulletproof host in Netherlands ?

  • Unless you can use the power of the state to intervene, there is nothing you can ever do about such leaked private images.

Just send to host DMCA request and await his response. Usually, even that DMCA work only for USA, it's already standard format to announce your rights on any media files own by you. Many countries has a similar law and Netherlands is not exclusion.

  • In The Netherlands, you can get compensation if someone violates your copyright.

Send a cease and desist letter to [email protected] and tell them that you will file a lawsuit and demand compensation if the copyrighted material isn't removed within X days.

    Copyright law:
    https://business.gov.nl/regulation/copyright/
(Use the translate function in Chrome on Dutch pages)

Info about cease and desist and what the letter should include:

I would probably also setup a script to email them every day or 2 times a day, maybe they'll get annoyed enough to finally take action (although this is kind of overkill)

Is there any government portal or any other portal where I csn complaint this server proves or website admin. ?

LowEndLOLs department suggests you to unplug your Ethernet cord.
This would remove any objectionable content from your network.

  • IS IT PORN ?

  • It's a sketchy as fuck porn site, I have no doubts that the person running it doesn't care if you object to them hosting content there.

Of course, they don't reply to a request like this.

You have to formulate yourself correctly and the letter should include the information and proof mentioned in the link I gave you.

No, there is no government nanny that helps for free. And because of Dutch laws, no cure no pay lawyers don't exist in the Netherlands.

You can send a cease and desist or hire a lawyer.

Send cease and desist letter via mail, and they will 100% remove it. If that fails, go after upstream provider with same method. It costs next to nothing to submit charges in EU, but its expensive as fuck to defend in there, given that news might pick it up. (If its GDPR/Privacy related and the upstream provider does not comply).

While you are at it, report it to police and child protection agencies, that website content is not 18+ You don't even need a glance, they look too young.. Disgusting.

edit: Asked hawc to remove the link on OPs post.

You can't remove anything from the internet.
Even if one site takes it down, there are people who archived it and will re-upload it somewhere else.

Don't even bother, just don't let it happen again.

Good way to piss off more people and get it re-uploaded further. If its not CP, forget about taking anything down.

    any government portal

    Its called a lawsuit.

  • I had imagine that if you go in person with a lawyer in that country, you might get a different result. Assuming the business hosting is legit. But I'm not a lawyer, nor I have knowledge in foreign laws.
