Power bank 10000mah is enough for whole day, I guess.
There are a lot of used servers on eBay, you might be able to find a good deal there!
Try rpilocator.com, got my 2gb one on adafruit, they show up every Wednesday 11AM
I mean phones in a server environment, constantly plugged in - idk what will happen with the batteries under constant load
Reminds me of 2 years ago when I had to constantly refresh bestbuy for gpus lol
400-500E is way more enough for a ryzen build. Asrock X300 + CPU + Ram + Ssd + 1 HDD is around that
I don't see any problem. I have been using an iPhone 3 as security wireless camera for more than 5 years
Good batter curcuit will prevent over-charged π
already using, no luck
Wow, thatβs impressive!
i did, but all of them have crappy power consumption or none listed (from googling)
the problem is, if a server eats 50W in idle it's just useless for me, even if it's free
HDD eats too much electricity
There are lots of Google coral selling in Germany right now, u can trade it for a pi π
Preparation, and commitment! This party is going to be one of the best.
Then go ssd, on sale for around 300$ for 4T this season
You are to kind!
That works, although it also depends on what you need - ryzen has better single core performance, but if you need a lot of threads then picking up a Xeon server could be your best bet. Honestly, Iβd say that buying a few used parts from eBay along with a ryzen cpu should be cost effective and powerful, itβs all up to you!
Welcome back boss!
TIK TOK! https://www.tiktok.com/@racknerd
Cool, will dive into that someday π€
welcome back !
Same, might be worth a shot as I have an old iPhone 4 laying around
No jealousy, just admiration.
i dont need more than 512 gb tbh
128GB SD card is now just 10 bucks, working very well with pi
I would love to see some promotion gilrs on racknerd tiktok πππ
Show us some pictures upon arrival
Power consumption kills me on home servers here as well. I went to less then 15w CPUs and 2.5" drives years ago. It made a huge difference in power consumption. I then do all the heavy lifting on VMs.
That's a good prediction -- I think it's going to become very very exciting.
Then M2 nvme is around 40-50$ π
