Hi guys !
Due to BlackFriday I'm lately pretty active at @RackNerd's BF party-thread, but this works for any huge thread
The amount of posts is huge (I feel like 3/4 are spam but let's not discuss that..)
The Issue I have is that I have no idea what's relevant or not, if someone replies to me I do get a notification but i have 600 of them, plus when @dustinc sends a message I don't see it because there are just so many messages, it's hard to catch.
anyways, so with some encouragment from @MooCowGalaxy @JerryPaml @denellum and whoever else I forgot, I made a simple firefox plugin that makes messages more visible, it's very simple and open source !

just try and if you like it, keep it, if you don't remove.

I'm not a JS dev, so the code/css is terrible but imo it makes using the forum easier.

Can you make one now that blocks anything that mentions RackNerd or DustinC?
Bonus points if it can pickup on any phrase that he requests users spam and blocks further posts with that phrase as well.
Posts regarding his pending charges can be exempt because that's pure lulz.
feel free to add, as long as it has on-off button i'll accept, im thinking of adding a way to block users so you never see their posts

When in "desktop mode"
It highlights messages
No right click function tho
When in normal mode (mobile) messages are not highlighted and right click does not work either
any new features people would want? in the weekend/next week im planning to implement automatic highlightling of providers
also automatic blocking/dehighllighting of double bw stuff... not only racknerd, the forum is littered with that

This is useful in any thread where you want to focus on replies from the providers, rather than all the spam of "order ####. double bandwidth pls".

Current release highlights your messages with a color and highlight messages where you have been pinged, silimar to discord

Its planned to have a list of users so one can configure that... exactly what you want

This one would be quite useful, also hiding everyone else's comment but dustinc's would be great. I honestly dislike the engagement prizes, even though I do understand the reason behind this but I wish it was made in a completely separate thread from the casual giveaways and possible black friday deals.

I'm aware of that, used it for a while in the past. Having everything else hidden by default would be great though although not sure how doable is that. PS: Can't remember if there was an option for light LET theme too but current highlight colors are mainly built for the dark theme.
all hidden by default is doable, might implement that (would be a tick in the comments)
as for light theme, no for now, as i personally dont need it. maybe someone else makes a pull request

Firefox is dead. Its browser share has cratered - less than 3% market share now. Freakin' Microsoft Edge has twice as many users. Safari - which only runs on Apple platforms - has 6x the market share.
Firefox is the FreeBSD of browsers. There will always be enthusiasts and people who use it for non-technical reasons, but it's not going to grow out of that small niche.
Far from dead. There are loads of more niche browsers that are alive. I've been using it for years since Google was too nosey with Chrome and now even more strict with adblocking policies. I guess significantly more Linux users use it because they value unrestricted software with less spying. It's like saying Linux on Desktop is dead because it has only 2% market share or what is the current number.
Not sure that is a fair comparison, since Linux on the desktop has never been more than 1 or 2%.
In Firefox's case, at one time, it had nearly 23% of the market. Now it's less than 3%.
