  • Reseller plan have any incremental backup system like Jetbackup?

  • @HostSlick Is there any restrictions on what is allowed on the reseller plans (aka are you allowed to host media)? and if so, what is the fair use on bandwidth?

  • @HostSlick Good job in providing service at an affordable cost.

The node for shared hosting was not very nice in the past as there were constant down time. However, things seem to have improved recently. Thanks for the work :)

Thanks and glad I could solve the issue.
I know which node you mean and he was giving us indeed some headache.

There are 12 Nodes for WebHosting. If you in future should have Problems and not getting friends with your node, you also can request a move to a other if you want

  • Thanks @HostSlick

Some dickheads were not appreciative of good hosting service at peanuts cost.

This would only deter good offers from providers. :|

  • @HostSlick Can you provide independent IP?

Not recommended. For good delivery rate please go with a Provider like MXroute email hosting.

New NVME Node has been setup. (all former ones where SSD!)

We have on this CLOUDLINUX. +CAGEFS
    NODEJS is enabled!
    Softaculous app installer is installed
and our default config with LiteSpeed etc.

Ready to go! for more orders.

  • Any plans to bring shared4 back to life? Its down for ~12 hours....

  • So if I would order a reseller package now, it would be on the NVME Node ?

  • Do you offer free migration?

  • 24+ hours is not really 99,9% uptime SLA right?

  • Well, if you need high uptime i would not go with HostSlick shared plans. There are plenty of reviews out there about outages ;)

Googling hostslick shared hosting did not really bring up negative results for me.
But a lot of people love their vps'es, so why would their shared hosting be bad?

  • 200GB link is wrong, goes to 100GB

Should be pid=273 instead of 272

You can‘t compare dedicated servers or VPS with shared hosting, because if one neighbor gets hit with DDOS, you suffer too for example. And since HostSlick advertises in many hacking & black hat forums (again: google where they advertise) it‘s more likely to have some shady neighbors, which are more likely to attract attacks. ;)

Regarding the reviews: Just hit the Lowendtalk search, you are not the only one who suffers from webhosting outages, doesn‘t seem the case with VPS/Dedicated Servers tho.

Shared4 sucked up after a failed Cloudlinux upgrade (from Centos) we are making on all servers (and has been tested on a emtpy DA server).
Missing libraries, missing OS info, whole OS broken.
(we recently started to use cloudlinux)

First the server didnt even want to boot " failed to switch to root path /sysroot does not seem to be an OS tree "

We have made 2x clones of the server before we started fixing it and my colleague, Kushal, has been working on it since the morning today, more then 10 hours. He will shortly contiune with work to restore the affected server.

CentOS, depencies and libraries are fixed already. Only MariaDB still dont want to start up.
But all data is intact. New Error " Failed at step EXEC spawning "
    Whole OS was broken.

I cant let him contiune to work. He just wrote me he is tired and wants sleep. He will contiune asap.

affected customers can be moved to a other node if they want and get full account credit for their service.

CloudLinux support denies that its that so we are kind on our own. Even though we both could confirm ourself its related to and even removed their kernel to restore back. It will be fixed.
    It looks good for now

    Hes working on it again.

I created another clone of the whole server and are preparing to move/restore ALL 200 accounts off to a new NVME Cloudlinux Server we deployed. As a last resort. The copy to other server will happen with a clone while he is on it on the non-cloned (actually) server.
We managed to get the needed functions working.
MariaDB still not wants to start.

Working on updating tickets. Expecting for affected ones to be up soon.
In case server moved to new, we also update NS records, so you not need to update NS.
