httpie and rclone
Because I forget the proper flags or am too lazy to use man pages or look them up:
Output to console -> curl
Save to disk -> wget
Same
I use cURL most of the time, because cURL is more powerful.
I use wget when I want to download an entire directory.
Wget when downloading
Rclone
I frequently download things from internet, for that I used wget— incredibly easy and never fail. It - always - works !
Don't know why, most of the time, downloaded file via curl tend to be corrupted or incomplete.
Send some API : cURL
Download : Aria2
Send from server-server : scp
Another vote for rclone
cURL ofcourse. simple and can have many configurable options.
Haven't tried it personally yet, seeing all the messages, will definitely have a look!
Nice!
Same here!
Didn't expect this, haha...
Wget, because curl is not standard on all linux flavours.
or Firefox and Filezilla
curl has good debugging capabilities such as
--http[version]
,--trace-ascii
,--resolve
and the likes, which I use for network troubleshooting.Make it double
Internet Explorer and FTP.EXE
Beer.
OpenSSH is deprecating scp. Equivalent functionality will be provided through sftp. https://www.openssh.com/releasenotes.html
cURL. Because of the cookie jar.
wget for ever , very simple for usage
same
But life isn't always that simple sometimes we need heavier cannons.
wget for downloading everything else curl.
