I use cURL most of the time, because cURL is more powerful.
I use wget when I want to download an entire directory.

I frequently download things from internet, for that I used wget— incredibly easy and never fail. It - always - works !

Don't know why, most of the time, downloaded file via curl tend to be corrupted or incomplete.

Download : Aria2
Send from server-server : scp

curl has good debugging capabilities such as --http[version], --trace-ascii, --resolve and the likes, which I use for network troubleshooting.
