  • I lost in the words, but is Chicago location still coming? I originally had a server set to migrate to Chicago but it ended up in NYC. Not that it really matters in my use case (idling), but I still prefer it closer to me physically.

Looks like NY node already back online as well, at least for node NYCB048.
And I believe this is not the end, because one of my VM now in "locked" a.k.a "ryzen-ed" status.
And I still have 2 more VMs in old nodes.

@VirMach , when is your ETA about this migration process ? I just want to know when I could start using your service again with worry free...

Next BlackFriday should be all operational

Node SJCZ004 has been down for several months, when will it be fixed? If it cannot be repaired, can it be relocated to other areas for free?

@VirMach Please see ticket #355723, I need my vps, I have been patiently waiting for more than 30 days

I've seen your ticket a few times, I'm trying to decide how to proceed with it. You've paid for the bandwidth overage but your explanation is not very good. This also specifically caused one of the network issues you were complaining about above. If I unsuspend you right now, and you get hacked again or abuse then it's a very bad time for it to happen again, so I decided to process this later.

Otherwise if you require an urgent resolution, the current default decision is for it to remain permanently suspended. Perhaps I can refund your bandwidth overage as a courtesy though since I do not want you think we're swindling you in some way.

If you want a potentially different resolution, then please keep patiently waiting.

I've closed this ticket and created a refund ticket, incidentally sending a spam like you said. .

I was having trouble with my VPS and just found this thread. My virmach node was the most stable one for years, but now it's down for several days with no response from support :( I can't even check in which nod it is located because my status page times out (Operation Timed Out After 90000 Milliseconds With 0 Bytes Received). I sent a ticket (#316490) to tech support because it said i'd be charged if i sent it as an outage. But then i have no answer. What should i do to have it answered? Any news about when it will be back?

edit just found out it's on node NYCB046. This one is not listed as out in network status. Should i report outage? How does it work?

  • my node updated to NYCB040 but i failed to power on my VPS.
guess i need to wait. at least is showing signs of progress (work being done)

  • Hey, I requested a migration & paid it on May 28, but it has not been completed yet. :(

I see one of my servers was migrated from NY10GKVM37 to NYCB035 and everything seems to be working. All I had to do was to click "Power on" button - and probably because I was too fast after node unlock - I had two IPs (old/new) in panel, now the old one is gone like it should be :-)

  • What discounts are you all having now?

@Jake4 said: I have a VPS which was forced migrated to RYZE.DAL-Z008.VMS but VNC just displays "dev/vda1: clean, 103910/2268480 files, 2001311/9108944 blocks".

Press enter few times, see what else will show up. This seems normal.

Nothing has changed since pressing enter (I have also rebooted the server a few times)

Wait for some time, could take some minutes.
After that your server should come online and should be accessable through ssh.
Atleast for me it was working this way.

I've been down for over 2 weeks now with no reply from support, my node, DALZ004, has never been mentioned in the bulletins. Around the 10 day mark for my original ticket I created a second ticket, differently. Support closed the ticket as a duplicate (fine) but I still have no response :D

Losing my mind a little bit, since I never received any advanced notice either. I merely got the generic "migrations will be happening at some completely undefined point in the future, expect a 72 hour notice (which never came)" email. I would have at least prepared, but as it stands, my last backup is unacceptably old (admittedly, that is my fault).

If Virmach could stand up my VPS for a couple of hours I could back up my data and do a data-less migration, if that would help them help me...

My Buffalo based vm been down for about 4 hours. I previously got an offer to migrate but didnt pursue it as I have a rDNS and open port 25. Node is showing as locked. control panel says node under maintenance. Control panel lists an unreachable IP that appears to traceroute to JP . 45.66.128.xxx.static.xtom.com

I cant complain overall I'v had this KVM-Special-4 for several years and support has been good. I hope the rDNS and open port 25 follows to my new ip and my data is migrated.

Data will migrate, rDNS won't follow, port 25 will be open after migration, we haven't implemented any blocks at this time.

@VirMach I don't know if this is a current node or maybe it's been moved and renamed, but NYCKVM10 is completely unreachable at present. Unavailable from the customer portal SERVICES page also, so no information is offered as to its status anywhere. No mention of NYCKVM10 on the announcement or NETWORK outage and maintenance status page.
It's like a mystery novel :o Tell us who done it!

Old servers are dropping like flies and every time they get touched all data is lost due to human error and they don't care but luckily this is just a panel issue. > @passwa said:

You definitely don't qualify for a refund but at this point I'd probably be willing to refund the overage you paid even though it's valid, since you could have technically just not paid it, as I don't want you to feel like I "tricked" you in any way to pay it, I think I was clear that it still didn't guarantee an unsuspension but we'd then look into it.

NYC network configuration got very screwed up for some of them and we're at the mercy of DC hands to fix it. I wanted to update network issue but it's all over the place right now and difficult to track and update each one individually with everything going on.
