What does "restore" mean? I checked past posts but all I understand is that you may have opened some tickets...

Thank you, I've been using your service for 2+ years, your server is excellent, but it would be better if you can give more notice when changing IP.

I agree with you completely, we just can't operate that way right now due to the volume of the tasks. If we had to pause and provide notice every time it would extend these changes for weeks if not months. Once we resume regular operation we'll go back to providing ample notice for any future changes and I apologize.

Tokyo ipv6 seems to be gone, no ipv6 network now

  • @VirMach said: we made changes to the abuse script.

That explains the drop of steal on my vms. It was like ~5% to 10% spikes and now down to <0.5%. Hope it'll last, much appreciated!

Still waiting on the datacenter. Fun fact, I could've flown into NYC, pressed the button, and flown back like three times by now.

He's definitely at fault and I've already gone over this with him. He actually paid the BW overage caused by his service's outbound attack from setting an insecure password but then spammed like 5 tickets for an unsuspension, has multiple accounts, and exploited a bug in our system to his advantage. All of it is in his account notes. And that's if we ignore the dozens of times he's spammed the same ticket ID on this thread. He wouldn't normally get unsuspended but I feel bad for him, but that doesn't mean I'm going to just unsuspend it while we don't have enough time to closely monitor him and make sure he doesn't immediately cause more trouble. And he's definitely making it more difficult to feel bad for him although I'm maintaining my neutrality.

You'll either be refunded or your service extended. I do apologize, we should've put these out of stock.

Yeah it's powered down some stuck in reboot, but most the help on the nodes come from the network changes.

If you have checked your email records, you will see that I am not the original owner of this account, the original owner gave me the account after he abused it, I paid $5 for bandwidth overage for this account.

You should ask the original owner (not VirMach) ...wait, what is the original owner? Did you follow the appropriate steps to transfer your account?

If you have checked the provider's Terms of Service, you will see that you are not the original owner of this account, the original owner illegitimately gave you his account after he abused it, you did not pay $3 for a proper service transfer into your own account established in your own name.

The following servers are being rebooted to fix BMC configuration: NYCB012, NYCB013, NYCB014, NYCB015, NYCB018

These reboots still ongoing? Going on for about six hours now.

Nothing we can do about it. NYC has some problems waiting DC hands and last contact was several hours ago with no results.

My suggestion would be to update the network status page. It currently states only one host (NYCB019) is waiting on remote hands. It sounds like all of them are waiting for remote hands.

Ironically, out of the 4 VMs that got migrated for me, this NYC one was the most stable after migration.

I'm assuming you were part of the re-create without data button? I actually fixed those for FFME003 over a week ago, I just didn't boot them up. I went ahead and booted them up since many people didn't. Two had old ISOs mounted, unmounted. If it was migration with data though and you're missing data make an appropriate titled priority ticket.

Wow, it just came up 5 minutes ago! Once a day, for the past week, I've been doing the fix network and boot button - with no success. But I just see everything is up and running! All services and data intact - thanks @VirMach

edit : I didn't hit the migrate button at all

I dont know, i still cant connect into it or open service status page =(

  • @VirMach I don't know if this is a current node or maybe it's been moved and renamed, but NYCKVM10 is completely unreachable at present. Unavailable from the customer portal SERVICES page also, so no information is offered as to its status anywhere. No mention of NYCKVM10 on the announcement or NETWORK outage and maintenance status page.
It's like a mystery novel :o Tell us who done it!

  • NJa64FNJa64F Barred

My Buffalo based vm been down for about 4 hours. I previously got an offer to migrate but didnt pursue it as I have a rDNS and open port 25. Node is showing as locked. control panel says node under maintenance. Control panel lists an unreachable IP that appears to traceroute to JP . 45.66.128.xxx.static.xtom.com

I cant complain overall I'v had this KVM-Special-4 for several years and support has been good. I hope the rDNS and open port 25 follows to my new ip and my data is migrated.

@VirMach NY10GKVM61 says "The node is currently locked", what does that mean?

  • I migrated my server to LA using paid migrate button, I noticed that 2x ip has been assigned to my VM. Do I need to create a ticket ?

  • After about 2 weeks, DALZ009 node is back to online.

The status showing it still offline though...

    Main IP pings: false
    Node Online: false
    Service online: online
    Operating System: windows-2012-r2-virtio-x86_64
    Service Status:Active

@tenpera said: NY10GKVM61 says "The node is currently locked", what does that mean?

It means the whole server is locked by VirMach staff for maintenance or to be honest knowing the history - it's getting migrated to Ryzen. Probably In few hours you will get new IP and copy of your VPS running on Ryzen server. If everything goes okey - if not... could be rollback, could be problems, we will see. Nothing except waiting and checking from time to time in the panel what is the status left for now.

  • Looks like NY node already back online as well, at least for node NYCB048.
And I believe this is not the end, because one of my VM now in "locked" a.k.a "ryzen-ed" status.
And I still have 2 more VMs in old nodes.

@VirMach , when is your ETA about this migration process ? I just want to know when I could start using your service again with worry free...
