If Upgrade is not possible, will upgrade to AMD Japan be open in the future?
Pls check dm
Ryze Ams-d025 VMS
It seems to be a problem with the node network. The global Ping is about 800ms.
Is this a node configuration problem? Or is someone abusing bandwidth?
Good to hear it has attention; just to be sure, my remark about "keeping an eye" wasn't meant to be sarcastic or anything like that, but as a sign of trust that it'll most likely be fixed, but since there are lots of things screaming for priority, I don't expect it within days.
@VirMach Buy the ryzen migration offer and ryzen preorder offer is really a joke. All Ryzen Node is so crowded, but can still migrate BF special into it and there is no distinction. VPS with high price and high configuration become worthless and have low performance. BF special offer price is lower and the configuration is better. I don't know what it's worth to wait three months for a higher price preorder...
who the fuck asks virmach anything and expects a response in 2022 shit's a deadpool
Thanks for your feedback, but I'm going to have to disagree with pretty much everything you have stated.
That's of course assuming you're talking about Ryzen and not the storage pre-orders.
Thank you for your reply.
The fact is that I had buy the highest configuration ryzen preorder and ryzen storage preorder, have waited for more than two months. The storage is still pending.
About the performance, ryzen 2c cpu gb5 is only 1100... JP Node. Compared with greencloudvps, same 2c, it is 2100.
Although I have to admit that the price is cheaper than him, but when many $1-5 annual payment VPS and have the same performance and in same Node,it becomes meaningless.
What's more, I saw that 4c4g 40g 8t was only $20 annual, also in same ryzen node.
I also have one BF special offer and moved to the ryzen node, really happy to be able to upgrade for free. but I will never buy any more highly configured offer. I just feel that the normal offer price of the high configuration and the performance it has are really not as good as buy a cheaper bf special.
That's definitely not something intended. We have always cooperated with customers in migrating them to another node if the node they're on is having performance issues like that. I recommend creating a ticket and documenting this and requesting to be migrated for free to another node that's less full.
It's also mutually beneficial as it saves us the time from identifying these extreme cases and contacting people and asking them if they're willing to move (which we also do in these cases.)
But Migration Special's clients are uncomfortable. Black Friday Special have migrate as well, but Migration Special as the selling point is migratable. I don't understand the advantages of Migration Special?
Unsurprising, given the current situation; neither do I.
Was a reasonable (not great) deal i.e. not feeling duped but of no implied benefit. Not first in the migration queue and lesser specification than the latest deals.
When the first batch paid migration was opened, I paid 3 dollars to try the migration (San Jose), and the migration was stuck for more than 20 days. So far, it has not been successful, and I have not received a refund. For this I closed the stuck migration request ticket (#594920) and submitted a refund ticket(#324050), but the status of the refund ticket has always been Awaiting Billing Department for three days. And no reply so far.
I saw that I could pay to migrate to Japan today. I tried the migration again(Tokyo, JP) to do a test to see if this migration got stuck again. I didn’t expect it to get stuck again. Just like last time, the migration ticket(#352668) generated after payment(Invoice #1439463) was stuck on the Important Alert page, and the content was as below
Seems didn't detect my paid status(After paid $3).
I wonder if it is because of the specifications of the machine that the paid migration has been stuck many times, and I have not figured out what the problem is. Maybe it's a BUG? So I feedback here to see if @VirMach can forward this message to the developer and check what happened to these migration operation. Thanks a lot!
hello
@VirMach ticket Status: Important Alert ,so what does that mean ? thanks
Yea, I posted it one page back. I am experiencing the same. AMSD025 is far from operational.
(average from my home should be around 35ms)
Buying virmach for more than 10$a year is not a good idea,
you are such a genius.I follow your instruction, close the old tickets, and open a new ticket about outage, which is very clear and specifical, and you just close the new ticket, nothing solved.i cannot boot ,cannot reboot ,cannot reinstall, cannot do anything
.by the way,it's 10th day sicne it got offline.
Thanks I think I'll wait until it's performance gradually normalized.
Also hope virmach can gradually restore its original stability.
This migration is full of chaos and injustice, lucky people get better performance and 1000x traffic and many IPs , you can SQL query this, it is by no means a minority. some people already have no less than 3 available ips. However, users who preorder for ryzen can only get lower performance (even if you say that the nodes are not crowded)
I prefer normal users to be unaffected (I mean, those who buy the pricier plans and want node stability to use the VPS for web servers or APIs), but now, this thread is full of complaints about network or performance.
Higher prices do not bring better performance and stability, not even as good as bf special offer
If In the long run, virmach may only be suitable for proxy or abuse.
Some migration specials were definitely processed before Ryzen was more semi-officially released. These also got earlier access to the "Ryzen Migrate" button. In fact, all of the people initially eligible were part of a node that was related to the migration special plus all the other nodes we were planning on migrating that week, and the people that filled out our survey.
We definitely did delay most the migrations with data though, several times throughout the last 6 months, and there are still plenty waiting.
I suppose with the way we rolled out the without data button, there was an illusion that there was no benefit at all, especially when we eventually rolled it out to more services. But I think the issue ends up being with what a person values in the migration special. If the entire value was the thing we tried to warn against from the beginning, which is only being on Ryzen eventually and not the actual service itself from the beginning, then I would have advised every single person that felt that way to not to purchase that special (and I did.) The biggest benefit of all should have been receiving a VPS, regardless of it being on Ryzen or E5, at a relatively low cost for the time period it was posted. That special likely would have cost the same, whether or not we had plans of moving those nodes to Ryzen, and I believe from the beginning it was very transparently stated that you would be placed on a node that's moving to Ryzen, implying that clearly all other people on that node would also move to Ryzen with you and hence why they could also initially use the button.
I don't believe any of it presented it as "get moved to Ryzen, before anyone else, guaranteed."
And I mean again, although they are very similar so there's no case where you don't benefit in some way. That's the thing though, with all our sales I try to make them different and interesting, so all of them are built to have some built-in factor that makes them special/beneficial but of course this doesn't mean it's always just a race to the bottom. Even so, just the pricing alone is technically a benefit when it's comparable to our lowest advertised price for a Ryzen pre-order. We priced these as E5, not Ryzen.
$9/YR for 512MB vs $8.88-$11.11/YR for 384MB
$12/YR for 768MB vs $12.17-$15.21/YR for 768MB
$15/YR for 1GB vs $16.46-$20.57/YR for 1.5GB
$25/YR for 2GB vs $21.85-$27.31/YR for 2.5GB
(edit) I do also want to add in again that it was not meant to be a special offer where we hook you in for Ryzen. It was just a neutral comment made because I originally thought people would get upset that they'd get migrated around so it could also serve as a full disclosure/warning.
I tried very hard to never give the impression that the "selling point" is the migration to Ryzen. I'm not saying I did a perfect job at it but the signs of that are clearly there if you have a read through it.
And as I said above in my longer message, we made it very clear that we're retiring nodes and moving EVERYONE on that node to Ryzen. I don't understand how anyone would incorrectly believe that we just had nodes that are fully empty, and only filled with Migration specials, and then only those move to Ryzen. That's just not how it would work in any case, it should be very clear that others would obviously move along with you if we're retiring the server with everyone on it.
I'll be honest I can't read through your entire message so I apologize if you already said something that makes any of what I'm about to say less useful.
Here are the top reasons for it failing:
1) The destination node group is having issues.
2) Too many people making requests and it glitches out, possible.
3) The code sucks.
Now, at its current stage, if someone made the request TODAY, then I could say it's a lot less of #3 and it's probably a lot more of the specific location selected is not ideal for the specifications of your service. For example if a location is low on RAM and you have a 24GB BF special, then it's possible it won't land on any server there.
I'm looking into that and TYOC029 throughout the day. I should have more time to spend on them in the next coming hours.
@VirMach
Can I be migrated to JP after paying? No location is displayed in the options! As shown in the figure
I have changed several browsers and even the operating system (including the mobile phone system), but they all show that there is no optional location in this option
Maybe you could kindly help me solve this problem?

Thanks for the compliment, right back at ya!
This is an error we're aware of that appears for certain services. We haven't figured it out yet. By we, I mean our developer. To be fair he's doing a million other things too.
I just want to know, if I pay the invoice, Move to JP location?? Because there is no information in the option, maybe you can reactivate the ticket so that I can complete the payment and migration
How do you feel about taking a few minutes to complete the migration? Thank you
Still waiting
Migration itself is unfair to pre-orders, 6$ per year configuration can have 20$ configuration, I hope not to buy any special pre-order products, they are all garbage,
I have to say I meet the same situation as you, several attempts and full of these are failed without the refund.
Everything is unfair to everyone in some way unless we just have the same offer re-posted for 8 years. I've heard that pre-orders are unfair to migration specials, that migration specials are unfair to pre-orders, that OpenVZ upgrades are unfair to people who bought KVM, and E5 getting upgraded to Ryzen is unfair to people who got Ryzen, or that a new special at a lower price is unfair to the people that paid more previously, or that a new special at a higher price is unfair because other people got it for cheaper before them.
Sometimes it's very easy to make everything sound unfair and upsetting based on your interpretation of life and your mood when you could easily see everything as an unexpected positive development and learn to be happy for others.
There's no auto refund on failure feature built in yet. If at any point your migration ticket is closed out and you didn't get a migration or your money back, you should of course contact the billing department and provide the following pieces of information: [1] the fact that the migration was not complete, [2] the invoice ID or the ticket ID for the migration referenced.
