@VirMach can a pending migration request be cancelled to choose another location?

If yes, VirMach should expect 400 tickets incoming.
So I would expect this to be a no for now and maybe you will be able to move again if space is available at the location you prefer at some undefined later date after everyone else has been migrated out of the CC locations.

Of course this is just my expectation and VirMach could make an exception for you and the other 400 people who have changed their minds about the location they prefer because sometimes he does seem a bit masochistic.

Every time migration is done, the BW will times 1000 (OR 1024?)... So many people did the migration again and again. 8G to 8TB(8000GB), 3TB then 3PB, etc.

Please fix this ASAP, don't underestimate the power of abusers and humanity.

And, Someone are doing reselling the service with the new BW.. If you change it back too late, you maybe be flooded with "work order" that complain why the BW is cut down.

It would be impossible to use 15,000TB of monthly transfer on a 1gb/s uplink.
So I expect you are safe.

We've unironically got 400 tickets in the last 24 hours and a lot of them are like that.

I think we need to put a banner up on our site letting people know that we have the power to purchase this on eBay and put it here for anyone that continues to expect concierge service but then they'd open a ticket asking what they should do about it.

I'm guessing this is expected behavior, so asking here to confirm.

If Debian 6 or AlmaLinux 8 template is available in the billing panel templates install one of those first to get CPU pass-thru and AES-NI enabled, Debian 6 will not boot, that is ok. Wait 10 Minutes or more, then install the O/S you really want and CPU pass-thru and AES-NI will be enabled.

I'm just curious as to what decision this would help you make whether it was answered one way or another, as in you'd want to wait to be migrated with data? Or you'd want to stay on an E5 server?

But yes as Frank stated these have always been dependent on template.

I had debian11 installed through the management panel
I used one of the 50 billing panel installs with Debian 6 and got passthru without needing to reinstall!

You could just send these people to me. FrankZ handler of the mundane, repetitive, relatively easy but time consuming ticket answers.

Your welcome. Thanks for letting me know that you did not have to reinstall I will add that possibility for future questions of a similar nature.

LAX storage update it looks like by the time it made it there and racked maybe cache battery died but it jumbled some non-existent data but still messed up the preconfigured RAID10 array. I'm trying to remember how I set this up as I did do a lot of optimizations already and would hate to start over but it looks like it's best to just start over.

I may go down to the DC and try to fit an SSD or RAID10 SSD PCIe controller in there that's separate to just put the operating system on which would make it easier. Hopefully we'll get it online tonight or tomorrow morning.

Is anyone else wondering why after waiting more than a year, he wanted a refund on the eve of getting his Los Angeles 1GB Ryzen service for $38 for four years, aka $9.50/y ?

It was quite a bargain, maybe he doesn't need it.

The BF type specials are normally migrated when the node you are on is decommissioned. So everybody on that node is migrated at the same time. There is no specific date that I can tell you when this will happen, but you will receive an email from VirMach a few days before with info on when the migration will happen. The IP address you were assigned is so you can know in advance what IP will be assigned to your VPS after the migration happens and can make adjustments accordingly.

@VirMach There appears to be a problem with the RYZE.DEN-Z002.VMS node. When I run yabs.sh the VPS shutdown. And even if I don't run yabs.sh sometimes VPS will shutdown.

You could probably close the migration ticket so the VPS is not migrated if you want to cancel the migration process. Regarding the refund of the $3, I would expect not, as it would cost $3 worth of someones time to do the refund process. You could just consider it buying VirMach a cheap cup of coffee as a reward for all the hard work he puts in.

How much RAM does your VPS have?
Have you set up swap, if so how much?

    BF-SPECIAL-2020 Special Offers
    RAM:1.88 GB , Swap:256 MB, Disk Space:45 GB, $8.88

I found the problem seems to be a hard drive problem because yabs.sh skips the drive speed test with no problem. In addition, I use rclone to pull website backups. Perhaps this is why VPS is shutdown. Not sure if @VirMach will fix this. Tried installing Ubuntu 18.04 and Debian 10 both have this problem, other systems I haven't tried.

Well it sure does not look like a low RAM issue. Virmach said he made an adjustment to the abuse script yesterday so maybe you are running up against that.
Do you feel that you are having disk issues otherwise?
Do you show high I/O wait % on top ?
If you run a monster test does it still shut down?
curl -LsO bench.monster/speedtest.sh; bash speedtest.sh -Global
The O/S you have installed should be fine.

P.S. That is a really nice deal you have there
