Did you guys catch anything interesting? I haven't been able to find a small VM, and their "VPS Eggcellent" is available too often.

Seems like they'd prefer fewer customers on big VMs rather than many cheapos on small VPSs! Makes sense regarding their IPv4 allocation... and probably regarding steal time as well.

I got a few, but ended up on a dedicated. See my "share a dedi" thread. :)

they closed the tap on the smaller VMs and today only VPS Eggcellent and RS Eggspert have been showing up. in fact, even the RS Eggspert has not shown up for a while.

Yeah, sad for us but probably makes sense from their POV. Let's see if this changes today...

afaik their initial announcement said it going to be running all week. though some of the offers are most likely limited, so might not appear anymore.

Starting to see some of the other packages that were disappearing in the last few days
VPS Ostern L, VPS Ostern M & VPS Ostern S already spotted.

I got my account verified by calling them and talked to a real person. No long wait, no IVR, no BS. Just Some announcement in German and 2 rings later someone picked up. Real people. Pretty cool. I got a VPS Ostern M and an extra IPv4. Then I realized their IPv4 arent like what I am used to... It's attached to one VPS once and then you can't move it, doh! I thought it's like a Vultr or AWS reserved IP :disappointed: Should have RTFM but FOMO got the better of me.

Q: Are they always provisioning in Germany ? Seems the Austria location only gets provisioned on VPS1000 and above - not the promos.

So far I got all ANX84 (Nuremberg). Ah well.

They are doing this Hetztner thing now where they charge VAT to customers from Texas, it seems:

I've deployed a couple and they've all been in ANX84 like you.

I'm sure their support can help you with the VAT nullification - I'm paying extra for British VAT versus their German VAT (19% and 20% respectively) I won't cry for the extra 1% but your situation I would hope they can resolve with a quick ticket?

netcup charge German VAT (19%) to private non-EU customers. (It's not specific to the US or Texas)

This has been discussed on a number of times here: admittedly, it's not great if you're a private non-EU customer. (At the same time, netcup's prices can be pretty attractive even with German VAT)

If you're a business customer and you can convince netcup of this, then they'll deduct the VAT

If you're paying British VAT, then this means that netcup are treating private customers from Britain as though Britain were still in the EU (but there may be an agreement between the EU and Britain regarding this)

(Private EU customers pay the VAT rate of their country of residence)

Yep ticket ongoing now to prove corp status. Even with the 19% added on the Easter deals are not bad. RS L is in there right now!
