My provider tag has been removed when unjustly banned. I don't want it back, because I don't post offers, but it might be needed so people know I work for a provider giving more context to some of my posts.

2. I don't ask for a provider tag, newer people lack some context to my posts here, plus it also means I accept the "punishment".
For Prometeus it doesn't matter as we are not posting any offers here since some 5 years, I also do not intend to post offers, but it could make things easier to understand for the TL;DR crowd in some situations.
Normally, restoring the provider tag should have been part of the reparation but, since the management considers necessary for at least some part of the "punishment" to stand in spite of lacking any reason for the ban, then, so be it, it is not in my interest to have a provider tag but I still believe it should have been restored, it would have saved me some typing but I never had a problem with that, let's have TimboJones rejoicing once in a while.

Of course not, compared with Calin, FlorinMarian, Boomer and many others with provider tags, Prometeus is tiny and bottom feeder quality, there is absolutely no justification for a provider tag, we need to defend people from scams.
The reason for ban was that I was a pedophile or supporting pedophiles or something along those lines, he was pretty fuzzy and fluid about it, he even made a rule post factum to justify it (which was, of course, removed after "it served it's purpose").
If you think that is reasonable, then good for you. BuyVM was long maintaining that line and they eventually got their wish fulfilled multiple times. The first round of Provider Tag cleanup is completed with 210 total tags removed. The second phase will include contacting certain users who I believe are no longer running or associated with the hosting company that received the tag initially. I expect that the ultimate result will be about 250 tags removed.
