That post is from 2020. You could always open a ticket and ask to confirm.
The comment was just last year and I doubt anything has changed since then, with regards to service transfers at least.
But yeah, either create a ticket and ask or tag @MaxKVM with hopes they'll chime in to confirm.

@cgs3238 - Last year, if you canceled immediately you would get account credit for the prorated remaining time. I don't know if it is still that way, but you could ask @MaxKVM if that is still an option instead of idling it.
