They both beat Wisconsin especially in the winter. My one buddy did voice some interest in going to California and some southwest states instead of Florida, so we shall see what happens.

If you enjoy hiking, I can't recommend Utah enough! I've never actually been to California before but it sounds like I need to make the journey! Gotta go buy Dustin that drink.
I've never been to Utah, but someday I hope to visit most of the states. I've been stuck in Wisconsin most of my life, in 2019 I made a spur of the moment road trip to Florida in a $300 car I bought. Travelled 4400 miles total over 2 weeks. People couldn't believe the car I was driving ('96 Grand Am 3100 2 door, I got it at 99k miles and replaced the intake gaskets, fuel lines, brake lines, and some other misc things in my garage). It made the trip no problem besides the transmission not having a cooler and getting hot after long runs of 100mph on them Florida interstates (damn they drive FAST down there). Was fun as hell.
Planned to do it again a year later, saved up and everything but COVID hit the month before we were supposed to go.
i saved 1.5 years and planned a trip across europe for 2 years... thanks covid
Thank you!
Oh man, that's an awesome offer! If I ever end up in LA, I'd love a tour as well!
I'm going to have to agree with Dustin on this one
My gosh, that sounds like the perfect use of a nice rental car though
If you haven't made that trip yet, hopefully you get the chance to do so soon. Perhaps it'll be even better then
i can't because
still very salty about 2020 (like a billion things)
I could have rented a car but that takes away the fun of fixing up a beater and taking it cross-country.
I can't wait to have more of Ryzen. Happy to hear that. Thanks
Congrats! You got your tour. I hope you can go and when you go, don't forget to publish footage of this tour for us
@dustinc please do your magic for me as well. Thanks
Really sorry to hear that... hopefully you're able to get another chance sometime in the near future
I guess that's true. For me, at least for now, I think my days of fixing and driving beaters is over. At some point, you just want something that's reliable, not a money pit, and doesn't constantly need repair.
I had $300 into the car, including a new battery. Another $100 in parts, labor was my own so just time invested on weekends, and it is still one of the most reliable cars I've had in a while.
Feels weird saying that about a Grand Am, but it starts when its 40 below, it runs amazing, and I have friends with newer cars that have more problems.
I don't daily drive it anymore as I have something newer but its always there ready to go lol don't necessarily need to spend a bunch of money or buy a newer car for reliability.
Thank you for giveaway.

Sounds like you've been pretty lucky, either that, or I've just been rather unlucky. My cars were all from the 80's though, so they were considered antiques when I was driving them.
I must agree that I've been lucky with some of my car purchases, I know friends of mine have bought cars for a few thousand that ended up being bigger piles of crap.
I think my ability to fix them helps a lot, especially using parts from RockAuto, but I know as I get older I have grown tired of putting time into things to make them reliable, which is why I appreciate my current car, just a plane jane Impala that already had a rebuilt transmission, new tires, and all the other little things done before I got it. Been nice to not have to mess around with it and just be able to drive without worry. Especially since my new place has no garage, rolling around in the driveway isn't fun lol
It seems another one is coming, with ryzen taste. Make your wallet ready
Ryzen? You're gonna get me all excited here.
BlazinDimes-King-of-memes
I just want to drop in and say hello and see if you guy were still going at it.
I see that there are still a few at the party, but where is @dustinc ?
You can't really have a party without the resident party animal.
Also, did I read something about Ryzen?
should be comming i heard end january... i hope asap tbh

How much you wanna pay for a VM that runs on my always on Ryzen laptop? XD
Just kidding.
Probably.
